I liked the last one. And Sam Mendes knows how to get great performances. Daniel Craig, Ben Whishaw, Naomi Harris to reprise roles. Ralph Fiennes is cast as M. Lea Seydoux, Christoph Waltz to join cast. Andrew Scott joins cast NOT as villain. Dave Bautista (most known as Drax the Destroyer) joins cast with Monica Belluci, too. Awesome!
Can't wait. Casino Royale and Skyfall are two of my favorite Bond films. Quantum of Solace is also pretty damn good.
I'm a sucker for Bond movies, and an even bigger one for this Daniel Craig series. Add in a talented supporting cast of actors and this should make a really entertaining movie! I'm eagerly waiting. Christoph Waltz & Andrew Scott have shown they can play the maniacal characters really well, perfect for Bond movie roles
Gotta be. You don't use SPECTRE and even name the movie that if you're not gonna bring in Number 1. As for whether or not Waltz is playing him, I'm guessing he is. Why else get an actor of his caliber who's most famous for playing an epic bad guy like Hans Landa? I was already geeked about Bond 24 after how well Skyfall turned out. But with Mendes back, SPECTRE being the title, a hottie like Bellucci in the cast, Batista inevitably having a fight scene with Bond(PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE have it in a train compartment like in From Russia With Love), and Waltz likely playing Blofeld, this is gonna be epic. The only thing that could top this is to have Bond 25 bring back Tracy and do the OHMSS storyline.
I wonder if she'll be THE Bond Girl in this movie and not just a minor character. If so, that's only the 3rd time in the series the Bond Girl is older than the actor playing Bond and she would be by far the oldest actress cast as one(unless you count M in Skyfall who kinda filled that role in the 3rd act).
I found Skyfall to be extremely boring. I'm hoping for a new Bond soon (fingers crossed for Idris Elba).
It's been since I've seen skyfall but I do remember enjoying it. What I can'r remember was if it tied to the previous 2 where it had the "secret society of bad guys" in the backdrop of the film.
No, Skyfall was standalone. They seem to be following Connery's pattern(albeit unintentionally I imagine). Dr. No and From Russia With Love dealt with a major terrorist organization(and FRWL directly referenced the previous film). Goldfinger was standalone. And then Thunderball went back to the terrorist organization. Just sub Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, and SPECTRE and you have the same formula. Although we don't know yet if Quantum and SPECTRE will be independent organizations or linked somehow.
Could be. He is getting up there in years. Bond should always be played by someone between 30 and 35 years of age.
