"His combination of athleticism and size is unquestionable -- he jumped 12 feet, 6 inches during his workout in Orlando " WTF! Let's get this guy instead. He can jump over the rim!
Let see, McGrady turns down a chance to go to a playoff-caliber Rockets team that is adding pieces and shooting for a championship with a franchise player, or stay to rebuild with a small, rookie PG and a high school big man who will take 3 or 4 years to mature, 2 years if you're lucky. Try all you want boys!
Rumor on the ESPN orlando message board: Did Magic also trade for Seattle's pick Robert Swift who is a center? So how does that affect Cato's status?
lol, that's what I'm saying! Dwight Howard or Yao Ming. Hmmm. And before someone says "Howard is an 18 year old stud with potential" Yao Ming isn't exactly a broken down old man, checking in at 22 years of age with 2 years of NBA experience and playoff experience!
I dunno if the salaries or what not will work but I think even with portland drafting telfair they will need a pg to help run their offense since damon is gonna be leaving soon and who knows how long telfair will take to develop. so i ask you salary pundits and all is this possible? Houston Trades Cato Cuttino Steve Receives: T-mac J.Howard Gaines Lue Portland trades SAR receives SF Orlando receives SAR Cato Cuttino that would the magic a potential starting 5 of Cato SAR Gooden Mobley Nelson while they can bring howard off the bench his first season as their main 6th man to get experience and develop while still be able to go with proven players (nelson is proven because of his college exp)
Rumor on the ESPN orlando message board: Did Magic also trade for Seattle's pick Robert Swift who is a center? So how does that affect Cato's status? That tells me that Orlando is stocking up on big men so that they wouldn't have to lean on Howard.
It looks like Orlando will do multiple trades; T-mac, J. Howard for SF, Cat, Cato SF for Ray Allen Cat + for Caron Butler and ? So next year's lineup for Magic is: Nelson, PG Allen, SG Caron Butler, SF D. Howard, PF Cato, C not a bad lineup
Obviously, this Nelson dude was the reason that Magics said the deal will be pushed after the draft. Houston requested the Orlando to draft a good PG for them in return of Steve Francis. So they did. It basically Steve, Cat, Cato for TMac, Juwan Howard and the 20th pick. Not bad for the Magics. It has nothing to do if the PG is Nelson or not. And there is nothing to be excited about a 6'0" PG who played against HS kids. Oh, in a Chinese article, when Yao heard the TMac deal, he did not think they will trade Cato. The team just won't let Cato go. Of course, Yao has been away for awhile, and he knows sh*t about NBA trades. http://sports.sohu.com/2004/06/23/50/news220675064.shtml P.S.: And it seems the Iranian Giant will be available at the 55th pick.
He's CD. The Astros land Beltran and if the Rockets get McGrady this has to go down as one of the most exciting weeks in Houston sports history.
Nelson was the college player of the year. You must be confusing him with the 5'10 HS kid who went earlier to the Blazers.
"Have you ever wondered if there was more to life, other than being really, really, ridiculously good looking?"
