That's going on the work wall. I know it's just a first round win, but is the kind of playoff moment James has needed for such a long time. OMG

Why did Dort try to throw it off James?
    Why not just shoot again?

    Youth and inexperience I guess

Shades of Dream blocking Starks in Game 6 in 94. Will be known as the block that saved Harden's Houston career.

Hardens D was very good this entire series.

Shockingly, he may have been the best CP3 defender, also shockingly, Covington was the worst. Harden and House, for some odd reason, did good jobs on CP.

Saved the Rockets from getting eliminated, saved a potential rebuild, and saved his legacy from being permanently destroyed.

That was the most important block of Hardens career.

This one play saved his legacy after that dog poop of an offense.

Imagine what the narrative would have been if this play had not occurred and Rockets went on to lose the game.

Also thanks to the announcers, especially Marc Jackson for reiterating the big defensive play by Harden to shed away the "Harden does not play defense" falsehood.

I know! Harden was already behind him when Dort got the ball. Why not shoot the 3??

Regardless Dort was out out of bounds, so it really didn't matter

Live reaction from NBA fans and media pundits that like spread the false, "James Harden does not play defense!", and watched the play unfold:

Lu Dort is a baller man... wouldn't mind that attitude and determination on a team like ours. Hope he has a good career

He would be 0-30 if he was in a Rocket's jersey in the 5 minutes of playing time Mike would have given him.

Great block. But... Did Harden jump from an out of bounds position and then touch the ball? Isn't that out of bounds and Thunder ball??????

Dort 's feet were out of bounds when he jumped for the ball and grabbed it after the block. So everything else is mute.
