I agree that Crawford has a ton of potential, but dont you all think other GMs realize thius too? Jordan tried like a MFer to get him over the past 2 summers, so this kid ain't anonymous. To get him we are going to have to trade a player (ie not Boki who doesn't play EVER)

Crawford actually did good against Francis. He was a ball hog. But he made shots. I like him. But if we could get him, what would we do with Mobley? I'd rather somehow get AndreM.

We need a smart floor general PG to go with an intelligent Ming ... and that's not Crawford.

We've focused so much on athleticism and players who could play multiple positions. We didn't realize how valuable character, court sense, and intelligence were, until we got Ming. Now we realize what we're missing.

Crawford is going to become a really good player just as Arenas is from what I've seen this season. I really, really doubt people would even consider trading Crawford for Nachbar who hasn't shown anything on the NBA level yet...Hey, why don't we sign ARENAS...

Rockets should get Jay Williams intead. Jay is a proven leader, but he is not given the freedom to play like himself in Chicago.

A while ago, when Yao was beaten down by Shaq and Duncan, I proposed Yao for Curry and Crawford. It is still a possibility.

I wish we would have had Jamal Crawford tonight: 33 points and 8 dimes.

Apologies if I am being redundant but I skipped most of the replies to just add my own because, hey, it's all about me.

But I've seen the Bulls play a lot this year thanks to being a Midwesterner (currently visiting my native Houston: a little cool today, isn't it?), but Jamal Crawford is just the sort of player we need. A tall point guard. He has excelled since Cartwright moved him to the starting position a few weeks ago...

...leaving a dilemma: trade or keep? Now the kid's value is at least marginally that of what Krumbs wanted; but Krumbs is out of there now, the point of this thread. So maybe the next Bulls HMFIC will listen to Mobley-for-Crawford offers.

Of course, Crawford-for-Dunleavy would be another trade explored, because GSW is about to lose Arenas.

The only thing about Crawford is that he would need to bulk up a bit, maybe 10 pounds or so. But Steve said he's willing to do the same (ESPN article) so imagine having two guards averaging 6 assists a game, backups in Moochie (sigh) and Posey (about 7-8 APG), and passing big men in Mo and Yao-za.

Cuttino + the Chicago draft obligation for Crawford might just work it, depending on numbers and other players involved.

Of course, Cuttino's play has been smarter lately (trying not to get traded? realizing, finally, that we need to buckle down to make the playoffs?) but for me, I say, use him to get a guard who can pass. This iso crap is painful to watch. And the West is only getting tougher.

I like Mobes a lot! Don't get me wrong. But I think there are people in this forum that severly UNDERRATE Jamal Crawford. The guy has a lot of skills. His play over the last month or so has been excellent.

Is he a good fit for this team? Tough to say, but for those that want to add a "combo guard" to the lineup, I would look at Crawford as a possible candidate. Especially since he is on the trading block and Crumbs is no longer there jacking up Crawford's rate.

As much as we like Mobley, I would be willing to bet most GMs in the league if given a choice between Mobley and Crawford would take Crawford. A young, athletic legit 6'5" PG is in high demand. Crawford has serious skills.
