I am not sure we can get Brent but he is not young anyone and I am not sure we really need him desperately at the moment. He could still contribute but we have a lot guys who is just as good as he is now.

The main guy who would suffer is Head, Green and Jones who also play that position may not get playing time and are not as good from 3 point range. Barry will play back up to either SG or SF. Due to him being bigger than Head he may steal Heads minutes.

I would say if we can get him go for it !

I wonder whether we could apply for a special consideration to replace Francis who is out this season. Come next season, Deke can retire, Francis
can reinstated and we can have Magloire if brent signed with us.

Luther Head is a waste of time. Get BRENT BARRY!

Getting waived isnt necessarily an indication that a player is no good.

In Magloire's case, his contract ends this season. If he isnt in their long term plans, it makes more sense to cut him loose and give his spot to someone else.

The playoffs are a different beast and you can never go to war with too many big men.

sure i would like to see Magloire in a Rox jersey, but who will rox waive to get him?

If barry does not works out, rox will still be a little short on the 2/3, with Tmac and battier starting, and head getting the rest of the minutes. Unless Green happen to improve overnight, rox will need a player to play the 2/3 spot.

if the bulls had any sense at all they would pick up Magloire. It would give them a low post scoring option they so badly need. Hell he would even be a good pickup for Miami im not sure if Miamis goal right now is to win games though.

There is a big difference in not playing when your center is Yao Ming and you are on a top team in the West as opposed to not playing when your center has been Jason Collins and you are on a crappy team in the East.

Magloire would never see the court. its not like Scola and Landry have been killed when they are in at Center, and I cant imagine you want Magloire to come in and take some of their minutes.

Wow, stupid thread. Magloire is utter garbage. I wouldn't waste the roster spot on him. I'd rather bring back Bill Curley.

We need a center who is faster, laterally quick and can defend face up C/PF like Gasol,Dirk,KG,Boozer,Amare,Rasheed,Odom. I doubt if Magloire can do that.
Our biggest need is PG,followed by a combo SG/SF backup.
He might be better off on an other team like the Mavs,or Celtics who need a backup C more than us.

That is why you can try bobby Jones at the 2/3 spot, but if he does not seem ready to play, you go hard after Magloire.

Head will probably get a number of minutes at the 2. Brooks minutes will decrease but a whole lot. You may see him with T-mac or Brooks and B-Jack or Alston & B-Jack in the backcourt. As had been said too, Landry will probably take some time at 3, and these trades will probably also give Hayes more playing time too.

I know we have Deke and all now, but when are we gonna start giving some playing time so he will be ready come playoff time?

How can anyone think he is a garbage? His stat for this year is not bad as a backup and playing pfs like Hayes, Scola at centre will not work if the opponent has a big centre.

What the hell are you smoking? Stats not bad???? He is a 7 footer who is shooting 30% from the field right now. Why do we need three 7 footers on this team anyway?

Other teams stockpile centers to deal with the rockets, not the other way around.

no thanks. if you ever watched him play a whole game, you will give up on him too. He is just not playable right now. Don't put yourself in those older years.
