It tends to be less a melting pot than a chunky stew.

yeah it can be kinda bad when you got a country full of "diversity"... everyone tends to make fun of other race(s) and stereotype.

    Best answer so far.

Jalen Rose forgot to say weather. In Houston, we never learn to shovel snow.

I was surprised at Memphis actually. Atlanta sports scene sucks, as well as their fans. I would have thought Houston would be ahead of New Orleans stickily because besides partying I've heard N.O isn't a good place to actually live.

Ban this man. Houston's Chinatown by geography (6 sq miles) is the largest in the country.

In my mind only New York and San Francisco offer more culturally for Asian Americans than Houston. But New York's Chinatowns are spread out, fractured, all over the place. There's more regionalism between the nationalities too, whereas Houston's Chinatown is much more integrated between all Asians. No one will dispute San Francisco's centrality to Chinatowns in the US, but still, ours is bigger.

Critics of Houston from some of those more traditional cities are just bitter, like an older brother who can't acknowledge that his little brother can now punk his ass at basketball.

What does Jalen Rose know about what's best for black people? He's not even black himself, have you ever heard him talk?

Jalen Rose is real, have u seen him during his college and NBA days? straight up hip hop ghetto kid. but he's older now and matured.

not trying to be racist or anything but houston does have a lot of black people and clubs and events for them i guess thats what jalen rose meant.

someone asked what about for asian players...i would say... San francisco GSW, LA, Toronto, NY, Seattle(when they have their team back), Sacramento

The asians have their little subdivision on the southeastside of houston also when you exit somewhere headed towards I-45 south. Forgot exactly where though.
