I love whenever an older vet that has very little game left gets waived, everyone suddenly decides he's worthy of a roster spot. He WAS (key word) a good player. He is not any longer and the Rockets don't need him. Wasn't the idea this offseason to get younger and MORE athletic?

When I think of Jalen Rose I think of Juwan Howard.

How about a class reunion by adding Chris Webber to our roster. :D

Some fans are clueless. They look at a guys roster and if he averages double digit points (now, or at any time in his career), they automatically assume he's what we need on the team. I wonder if the people that start these threads:

A.) actually think it would be a good pickup
B.) know anything about the players game as it currently exist
    or
C.) just start these threads for the hell of it?

Dude averaged 12 points on 42 percent shooting, was 34% from beyond the arc, and averaged a whopping 2.5 assists per game!

Yes, let's sign him up right now, he's obviously the solution at the 1 for this team. If we sign Jalen, we'll be the NBA champs. Seriously, if this dude was in his prime I still wouldn't take him.

I dunno if he is a 'was' or still has some game. I like the way JR has matured in recent times. However, if a 'small' were signed at this point (to replace a 'small') I'd go for Casey Jacobsen.

If a roster tweak were coming it would be most appreciated if it were depth with a 'big'.

The "he's an old Knick" argument doesn't really hold water. JVG has only brought in old knicks that played for him. Thomas brought in Jalen Rose way after JVG left. Just being a Kinck or former Knick doesn't make you a JVG guy.

...and I say no. We have enough swingmen on the team, and I am not sure I would want him at the point.

We already have Bonzi.....we have a potential knucklehead quota of one...so no room for Jalen.

This is the freaking Knicks who just tossed him in the dumpster!

They are the Addam's Family of the NBA, and Uncle Fester (better known
as Isaiah Thomas) just let him go for nothing?
.....some one will take a chance on him on the cheap but not for what he thinks he deserves which is more than the minimum wage!!!

Why not trade for Webber while were at it, and bring the rest of the Fab 5 out of retirement.

Seriously though I would love for him to sign with the Rockets. If anything it keeps him from joining a team that could really take advantage of what he has left and cant ever have too much depth.

Guy does hilarious interviews, a veteran player, but yeah we don't really need a player like him but I wouldn't mind him for the vet's min.
