You seem dense, I never said he was good. Maybe look at the initial response before typing anything else.
What happens when he is the only guy out of the top 5 picks in his class that is not extended? That would show other teams that he is not valuable for the Rockets at all and teams would start wondering why he wasn't given an extension. Do you think the Suns would be willing to trade for him if he wasn't provided an extension similar to his peers? By the way, his extension was one of the cheapest compared to the likes of Jalen Suggs, Trey Murphy and Jalen Johnson.
Probably trying to channel his emotions through creating a tribute montage for the next time we play the Suns
Oh yes, because Dillon Brooks was the centerpiece for the Suns, righttt. Maybe more special needs than dense. I mean it would make sense that you look like your profile pic.
Who said anything about a random player? He was the 1st pick of the rebuild and 2nd overall pick. No matter how little they valued him, they had already sunk assets into him and werent just going to release him. Do you really not understand this? The deal was set up so he could be easily moved after the poison pill expired. Stop being dense.
How anyone would equate that extension to them wanting Jalen is just a lack of critical thinking or being intentionally obtuse. Yeah they loved him so much and less than a year later decided to give up on him ...for a soon to be 37 year old KD.
Did you even read the post I was responding to? Stating that Jalen was so bad that he could not be moved for two years, acting as if no one wanted him, and claiming the Rockets didnt want him, yet still signed him for $106M last summer purely for salary matching, and were still somehow able to trade him to the Suns as the main piece going to PHX. You must not know how the league or contracts work, its not just about salary matching you actually have to have some perceived value to offer a contract to someone, and then still move that contract. You can not just extend any bum to $106M guaranteed for salary matching and think it will work out, there has to actually be perceived value. Which is what the Rockets believed, and the Suns also believed by taking the contract. There are two NBA teams in 12 months who literally proved my point, the person I was responding to acted as if Jalen was someone they've been trying to get rid of for anything for 2 years. This is an exaggeration by people like you who constantly post emotional responses, without really thinking through what the post is about, which was pointing out the actual value of green. There are two transactions in 12 months which determined his value. In the real world these are comps you would use. You guys claiming Dillon Brooks was the prize for PHX over Jalen just shows how these are purely emotional responses and lack any logic.
No. Just like I didnt read past this question. If I didnt quote it, I didnt read it. I thought that was obvious.
No, getting a pick was. The centerpiece they don't even want. The centerpiece they tried to find another third team for. (But none appeared, because he is garbage) Special needs is right. Yet another swing and a miss
A bit harsh to call him trash off the court. Sure questionable baby mama decisions but no legal or law trouble. Just trips to the nail salon.
How much would green have to blow up in order for us to get this to 1000 pages? That is the question everyone is wondering about.
I think he was undeniably worse off the court than on the court, and that is some achievement. Much better than KPJ for the record, but most of them are. He is not a bad boi in that sense, just another dude who talks the talk, sometimes walks the walk.
