Jordan Poole has a ring. Put some respect on his name.

4+ years, he is who he is, appears to be a bust at this point. JG should be evaluated, and Stone may need to reevaluate who he has on his staff to make sure they optimize pick selections going forward. This was the first player they chose after tanking intentionally which essentially comes out to hundreds of millions invested into this guy, and it did not work out. The guy chosen after him being the DPOY does not help either. This needs to be brought up to Stone.

Where are @Mathloom cringe ass homer takes on this guy. I hated his threads back then and it is satisfying for him to end up so wrong after being so obnoxious the whole time.

I remember reading this and being genuinely shocked someone could compare Jalen to Kobe

I have to say I am amazed by Mathloom's 'optimism' again.

Oh wait, did he mean Kobe Brown or what? But it seems that even Kobe Brown did good in Game 7 against Nuggets, 13 points and 3 assists in 8 minutes.

JG's play during the regular fooled me big time. I thought he had significantly improved from prior years. So you're a dawg only for the regular season, but not for the playoffs.

I don't care if you're 0-20 on 3s, but showed me some passion, and stop being so passive. You are getting paid $35M per year, so you already won the game of life.

Just come out and play hard. Jalen Green couldn't for some reason. Biggest reason the Rockets won't be moving forward.

Still trying to change the narrative that Jalen didnt play well because he was double teamed all game in game 7. Bumped his knee in game 5, knee was still sore in game 6. Had a bad burrito in game 4. Had bad spacing in game 3. And the toyota center floor was shaking in game 1.

He had a postgame interview. Not really worth a listen but I'm sure it's out there. He acknowledged he didn't play well.

Amen, Alpi, Fred, Tari all had very interesting things to say.

Look at how Cade Cunningham went out as the #1 option who saw most of the defensive attention from the Knicks…very respectable. He didn’t shoot efficiently in their elimination game but he was never scared to take the shot to try and put the Pistons on his back. Compare that to how pathetic Jalen just went out. It’s a night and day difference in quality between those 2 guys.

That is why he is the legitimate Number 1 Draft pick and there should be no question about it.....

The 2nd can go to Franz, Mobley, .....whoever that deserves it.

Def a miserable showing by Jalen Green. He is lucky he signed that 2+1 deal RN cuz if Stone had let him hit the RFA market he would prob struggle to get 20M.

The other poster is right if he thinks he is a star he shouldnt be passive, he should be aggressive even if his shots arent falling. He should try to make up for bad shooting with hard work and aggression on the defensive end and the dude wasnt ready.

While I am not ready to give up on the JG experiment given his improvement in the regular season, Rox should start looking at eventual replacement down the road in the event JG really isnt good enough. Cam Whitmore? Draft a guard? Reed Sheppard? Options should be looked at and prepared.

The Rockets will need to upgrade Jalen this summer. At some point,
I feel you are too optimistic. It would be fine to wait on Jalen if we were still rebuilding. At this point waiting a year for Jalen to improve will likely mean wasting another season. We need a better primary offensive creator. The rest of the roster is ready to compete. Jalen just isn't anywhere near good enough. He would fit in much better on a team that wants to win 23 games and get a top-6 pick. We also can't afford to wait on a draft pick to upgrade Jalen. The odds of the #9 pick in this draft being ready to start for a contender are not good. It's time to use Jalen and some draft capital to bring in a better offensive creator.
