I think he's more ready for playoffs than Jalen cuz he's such physical player. He wants the contact. He's immune to the whistle. We need to give him a shot considering how bad our offense has looked.
Waited four fukkking years just for him to shrink in the playoffs. So bad. And we might lose to the Warriors in the playoffs (again) because he's not showing up. He's not the only culprit, but his performances thus far in the series are so troubling. I wouldn't be a fan of paying him a lot of money on another contract.
MF sucked a big fat D these past couple games but I bet he goes off for 25+ game 5. Hopefully we can win that game and then send him back to the bench for game 6.
Started horribly... ended horribly. What's worse is the coach is back to not believing he brings anything of value to close the game. This offense is definitely not designed to get him any easy looks, but tonight he had opportunities, got looks, but he was in passive mode and didn't take them. Put no pressure on the Warriors defense and was pretty much a traffic cone on offense. On a team that desperately needs another consistent scorer after Sengun, having your leading scorer nut up in the playoffs is unacceptable. Not sure what next game will look like but if it's a repeat of the last two then the Rockets are done.
his shot is too unreliable to make his role be the catch and shoot finisher. i don't care if you surround him with all-stars his form is never going to allow for consistency.
What Jalen Green Chapter are we up to now? It's hard to keep track. Four years on, and my concerns with Jalen are as prevalent today as they were the day he was drafted. Except it's actually even worse now because he's proven year after year how unreliable he is. How he conned this franchise into giving him an extension, I will never, ever know. I can only hope (and pray) that the front office right their wrongs and cut bait this offseason. I cannot recall a player so coddled, given every unwarranted opportunity they can stomach, and still sh*t the bed time, and time, and time, and time, and time, and time, and time, and time again.
I thought Jalen finally turned the corner this season and I’m sticking to it. But disappearing 3 out of 4 playoff games is so disappointing, I don’t think I want to pay him his money next year. How do you disappear 3 out of 4 games in our first playoffs in 5 yrs and expect to earn near-max money?
What's more ridiculous is I see some extremists recently keep defending Jalen by saying that "Jalen is not paid like a franchise player, he is paid like an 2nd or 3rd option"...Well...considering he scored an average of 8 points in 3 out of 4 games, I think the current contract may be too big as well.
The logic for this is baffling. Without the extension the Rockets get cap space or re-sign him to a smaller deal which makes him more tradable
