Jalen Green wants to run the Pick and Roll with Alperen Sengun Strength Midrange Shot, Fast Break, Athletic Rebounder, Can Pass to Alperen Sengun. Weakness 3 Point Shooting Form is Terrible, No Spin Rotation when he Shoots 3s, Catch and Shoot 3s. Still needs to work on his ball handling and driving to the basket and making the pass when he is defended. Amen Thompson playing in the Backcourt with Jalen Green changes everything. Fred VanVleet is undersized and can't defend Elite Point Guards. Amen Thompson can easily hustle and Guard the best Point Guards, giving relief to Jalen Green. Amen Thompson Running the Fast Break and passing a Alley Oop Pass to Jalen Green Dunk. Fred VanVleet is a huge liability defensively and can't run the fast Break with Jalen Green.
When coach benches Sengun some people start talking really loud. When coach benches Jalen (again) same people are awfully quiet, just another Wednesday. Might want to get used to it. Who do you think coach is talking about here when he says change in starting rotation? Do you think he’s referring to the guy that’s sitting on the bench at the end of the game?
Fred is a great defender. Fred, rn, is a better point guard than Amen that's not even contest. They guy is averaging 8.2 assists and 1.6 TO. A/T ratio > 5 that's elite. He's playmaking isn't versatile but he's elite at what he does and it works with Sengun. Amen has higher bbiq, is a better passer but when you are raw, inexperienced all those goes out the window because you can't showcase your skills consistently. Amen might surpass him 2 years later but we aren't there yet. Also if Jalen needs Alley Oops to have an impact on game he'll be out of the league soon. That's not a sustainable offense. He doesn't have a go to shot his decision making is abysmal. These are not Fred, Amen, Sengun problems it's Jalen problems. Amen-Jalen might work better than Fred-Green only if Green becomes playable.
Jalen is struggling to stay in the 40% / 30% club at this point. A few more games like tonight's and he will fall below both marks. He currently has the 4th-worst 3P% in the league. With the way Amen and Cam have played, I don't think there's really any excuse to keep letting Jalen start, if this really is meant to be a meritocracy. I also think both of those guys have greater upside at this point, so even that excuse doesn't hold water. Let's go ahead and bench him and see how he responds. Maybe playing lighter minutes and against second units more often will help. Maybe he will pout and end up needing a change of scenery in the offseason. But one way or another, this is not working.
My thought as well. I have a feeling Jalen may have lost his starting job tonight. Or maybe Udoka is trying to send a message for Jalen to seriously think about over the break. Either way, half a season of this is enough. Something has to give.
Amen Thompson has some major flaws in his game, but what he does not lack is competitiveness and toughness. I’m not sure if I buy him as a star player yet but he’s not letting go of that starting spot for the rest of the season.
History repeats itself. Stone hung onto KPj to try and get a good ROI (the investment being nothing) only to have to spend more assets to get rid of him. Now he's just letting Jalen continue to tank his value to try and make himself not look like a moron for drafting him #2.
His value will likely never be higher than when he had a SUPER rare few good game stretch right before the all-star break. Stone should have known he would never get anything close to the value of a #2 overall now his value will continue to go down. This is like holding onto a stock you bought at a high price. The time to sell is right after you realize the company has declared bankruptcy even though the price is dropping rapidly. Holding onto it until it is a penny stock makes no sense.
lol oh all of a sudden Roosh wants to throw this out now. that's the type of stuff that should he heard when it happens not wait conveniently until Ime talks about a lineup change openly another head scratcher from the fake insider? @Reeko
How does he want to be used? Trade this delusional player that doesn't want accountability. Blames Sengun for spacing issues, Sengun is out and does headless chicken things on offense
I legit don't think this guy has a single source. I think everything he posts is completely fake. I doubt he's ever spoken with Jalen Green.
