This is the wrong analysis but you're right that arbitrarily sharing minutes is not necessarily an indication of a relationship. If you want to get this down you have to filter out players who actually run plays with Adams. Meaningless if they just happen to be in the game together. Then you compare that to the team average in scoring and decide whether you want to run those plays.
I didn't make an analysis. The whole point of my numbers is that the 2 man numbers don't carry much info. I am not claiming cam is better than green etc. The only conclusion I drew, which I said maybe because it requires more analysis, it looks like the starters have better ratings when they are combined with bench players, which typically happens when they play against bench units. Again, this is not an analysis but rather a reasonable explanation without analysis.
Awful awful awful the last couple of games including tonight. Ball-watching, lazy passes, wild shot attempts, slow on defense. His play has done a 180 since winning that Player of the Week.
Last year he turned back into a pumpkin for the rest of the season after his 8 game streak ended. This year, his 8 game streak ended 2 games ago and last game he was pretty bad, and in the first half of this game he's been incredibly bad. I hope history isn't repeating itself. Our ceiling is A LOT lower without Jalen playing well.
I don’t trust him. I think he will fall back to his mean. The Rockets need to sell high on him while he’s playing (or was playing) well.
That's not true, before his 8 games megastreak he was at career lows in everything basically on offense. I don't think he'll regress back to THAT level though.
Yeah, I was talking about the means after the streak. before last game, I am guessing he had career highs in 3pt% and ts%. but if you take the streak out, it will probably look bad.
he’s playing hurt - he doesn’t miss games - and last 2 games he been driving and not getting foul calls .. it is what it is biggest tell is when we have fast break he’s last player across half court
Locked On Rockets mentioned Jalen is playing through some injuries. The guy always plays — you have to give him that.
I'm not gonna knock him for a couple of bad games after how well he has played. However given we've seen this exact "Jalen has figured it out" movie play out every season of his career forgive me for being nervous.
He played tough man defense at the end on Mitchell. That’s about the only thing he did well tonight but it was impactful
