Honestly though, given that he's a player with absolutely no skill whatsoever, if he manages to finally become a league average player at 32, when his athleticism will have dipped, it'll mean that he finally learned how to play the game of basketball, so that would be a good thing. The most likely scenario is that he's out of the league entirely once his athleticism dips even a little bit given that he can't shoot, he can't pass, and he's not a defender. He should have a few seasons left before that happens.

I'll absolutely take that bet. I know that the All Star game doesn't have the best history with how they pick their players....and high volume low efficiency scoring with occasional flashy dunks is appealing to casuals, but it's still MUCH more likely that he's out of the league entirely in 5 years than him ever making an All Star game. This is EXACTLY the kind of bet I like, if what I think is almost certainly going to happen ends up happening, I win the bet.....if I'm wrong, it is good for the Rockets meaning I also win.

Fred has PG skills though, Jalen doesn't. A player who bases 100% of their game on raw athleticism has a much shorter window to make an All Star game.

... the offense literally used to grind to a stand still while everyone was forced to do nothing but ensure Jalen got the ball early and often in games last season just so the precious clown could feel good about himself. And guess what, the results come the end of the game were much the same as always - ie garbage. The excuses to justify why Jalen isn't playing well is beyond outrageous at this point.
