I think you're kinda missing the point here. If KPJ played on Boston, and they gave him 35 mpg, and they had him lead the team in usage, that team would not win 60 games. It wouldn't be possible. Wins are not independent of the players.
No no no, if youre saying that one bad guy can ruin a bunch of superstars and stars I call bullshit theres no way to tell that. KPJ wouldnt even have the ball that much and we all know KPJ is decent at defending and is a great catch and shoot player. Or atleast the casuals may not know that. KPJ is not a point guard and he is terrible one on one trying to collapse the defense and create. he usually turns it over and that was his problem in houston. A team not tanking will not use him like that and can still win 60 games. I think you missed the point.
They wouldn't though. Swap him out for Derrick White and have him play that role and Boston doesn't win 60 games.
KPJ, Jrue, Brown, Tatum, Zinger is a 60 win team in the east. That's not really the point though, the point is wins are a team stat, not an individual stat. Houston has a considerably better record than denver, is jalen more of a winner then jokic? Who's having maybe the greatest season in the history of the sport and a +27 net rating? While Jalen is sporting a -11 net rating?
No, he's not. And I don't think Jalen is a winning player. But I don't agree that the lineup you just posted is a 60 win team if you force them to play KPJ starter minutes and force them to put the ball in his hands.
Yup, he was god awful the whole game and i couldn't believe he was in at the end. There was no chance he would make a shot but he hit the free-throws!
Player of the game. Stepped up at the end of the game and made his free throws like a boss. Franchise player. Double max him.
He was ok tonight, I totally disagree he had a terrible game. The interior was completely shut down, he tried it a few times and it was a wreck. His 3PT shot was not falling. GPII is a great defender chasing him around. Had too many turnovers trying to force it. The right move is give extra effort, pass the ball, rebound, run in transition and play defense in this situation which he did. This is the kind of game where he would usually keep shooting and lose motivation on defense because he's missing so much. He was a +3 with the starters, the only positive. I think it was a well contained bad game if that makes sense. Proud of him for winning the game that way. The ball was closer to other players than to him and he really had to react and jump to the ground, do the dirty work to get it. When you keep your head in the game and keep working hard, you can still end up being of incredible importance to a win when your shot is not falling. IT'S ALMOST AS IF THE UNIVERSE PRODUCED SUCH AN EXTREME ANOMALY TO DEMONSTRATE THAT JALEN HAS A WINNER MENTALITY. Ahem.
