I've been hearing that for over 3 years now and every bit of evidence shows I've been right about him all along. I was hoping this would be the year the pathetic excuses would stop, turns out there's no end in sight. Can't wait for the "he's only 30" talk. Also, there's no need to be so emotional about it..... if Jalen stops being terrible at basketball, I'll be thrilled.... just hasn't happened yet and there's not much reason to think it ever will.
Hes far from one of the worse, now if you say he’s a terrible 3pt shooter.. that’s valid (eliminate the above break 3) and he shoots 37-38%. So that plays more into shot selection he’s shot 200 3s from his coldest area and 100 for where he’s above league or at league average
No one knows what will happen with Green, but it is my "guess" that he is not part of the Rocket's long range plans.
Good job..... but when did this conversation begin my brilliant friend? His first year of playing basketball professionally..... over 3 years ago.
And when was his first professional basketball game? How can you be an obsessed fan and still know seemingly nothing about his career? Remember when he was getting absolutely schooled by guys like KJ Martin and KPJ in the G League? That's professional basketball..... that's when the conversation started.
it only matters when they start in the NBA. It is different from other leagues. Just for reference, he had a great G League campaign. 17.9ppg on 46 per cent shooting. 37 per cent from three...............not bad for an 18-19 year old against men
So now that you realize you were wrong about the number of years, I'll explain the significance. He's had nothing to do but be paid to work on his game with professional coaching for over 3 years now and he's essentially the same player today he was then. Streaky rather than good shooter, highly athletic but scrawny, no defense, volume chucker.
Did I say "in the nba" or did I say "playing professionally"? I get that you might not be the best or brightest.... but try to work with me here.
3.5 years as a pro is enough to judge where he will get to......and adjust his ceiling. He thrives in open floor play and stinks in a structured environment - only one is conducive to winning. It will take years to break all of his bad habits, and teach him the game of basketball and others are further along already on the team. DD
Probably not but the Rockets are an island of flawed toys at this point. 1) Jalen - no brain 2) Jabari - no handle 3) Sengun - defense when he feels like it. No shot. 4) Amen - no shot 5) Cam - blinders 6) Tari - no shot. Shot at the rim is basically a turnover. There's a mix in there that works. And I feel like the rest of the year will be experimenting to see what functions the most. I wouldnt offload Jalen until you see what he looks like next to Amen. And so far in the first sample size, he looks much better than he did with Fred. But I've been fooled by Jalen before.
I am talking about the NBA - he SUCKS against structure or playing within structure, he has a very low BBall IQ, without the ball in his hands he is useless as a pimple on a warthog's ass, and he is avg at best with the ball. Right now, he contributes more to losing than winning. DD
lol G-League isn't that great...............that his college year and he killed it that year anyway. Winning is team work, not one player can win a game alone.
You have the worst reading comprehension I've ever encountered..... or you are intentionally dishonest. You pick.
