That really isn't making the point you think it's making.

Congratulations, you've confirmed the fact most people have known since last season - the Rockets win in spite of Jalen more often than not.

Jalen needs to embrace himself more. Look at Jared McCain, he is unapologetically "zesty" with painted fingernails and femininity and he's balling out. Jalen was a certain way entering the league but you saw how idiots were up in arms cause he painted his finger nails on CF.net. I feel like especially being drafted to conservative Texas Jalen had to change who he was a bit. Jalen needs to be himself off the court I think it will translate to better on court success.

People were "up in arms" because Jalen Green was an awful basketball player. None of that fruity BS matters when a player is actually good. Rodman donned a dress and "married" himself....no one really cared because he was awesome at basketball.....and that was in the 90's.

Read Joker's early biography, dude was lazy af and had no interest in conditioning and practices, often sneaking out to the horse stables to be with horses.

I thought if Alperen did that, wouldn't have made it to the NBA.

Not saying he woulda won early but these last 5 years he's been no question best player in the league. Just surround by garbage. Never even played with an all star.

What is your point here? Like clingan is some sort of offensive force that we would actually need to waste a good defender on? Clingan garbage. Dude looks like he signed an nba contract and has just been eating. Looks like he's gained 50 lbs. oh and Alperen had him in foul trouble the whole game. So yeah Alpi was the best at stopping him. Dude had 3 fouls in first quarter. Was absolutely clueless out there.

Ime Udoka has been consistent in benching players and pulling players who arent holding their end. We have seen this countless countless times.

Yet for some reason we are winning "in spite" of Jalen geeen who is logging the 2nd most minutes behind Fred.

Im sure Ime is doing this against his own wishes, im sure he hates playing him so much. Im sure.

Or, maybe Jalen is doing exactly what the coaching staff is asking of him and they like him.

    Idk, could be anything.

My point is some of you don't even watch the games.....just the box scores.

Skinny bones Jabari Smith had to body up vs Clingan in order for Sengun to stay in the game
    for his offense.

Defense in the NBA is more about who is around you. You and I have had this discussion time
after time. If you can't learn then I'll stop trying to teach you.

We never had to move Olajuwon off a center unless we needed his defense to guard a more
    formidable PF.

Or, he is the best option at this time, but not a great option overall.

You clearly don't understand how our defense works. Sengun is our best help defender so they hide on him a weaker player so he can drop down and cover the rim. Literally the entire scheme this year. They think bari is better at switching so that's the play.,, if they were posting up clingan you can bet sengun would be on him.

A player's ceiling is how they perform consistently, not at their absolute peak. Like his whole career, Jalen is great in 20% of games and an inefficient chucker the other 80%. It's his fourth season. Any flashes of great play now are no different than the those he's had in the past. They're not a sign that he's figured it out. He never has.

If anyone has been paying attention, Udoka has once again opted to go with the tired old 2 man game with FVV and Sengun. This is exactly what they did a year ago. They did not play this way the first couple games of the season where Sengun struggled. Green had the ball in his hands more to make plays. Udoka ran a variety of screens to get Green open. But once again it seems if one player is the focus the other one regresses. There’s no balance no synergy. Udoka quickly went back to the same old sets after the Sengun slump with Green away from the action jumbled up on the wing, in the strong side corner on the post or corner coming to the top of key for a dribble handoff that goes nowhere. Its about opportunities and once again Green is not getting opportunities

Hate to interrupt the debate but wanted to point out that the Suns are melting down: https://valleyofthesuns.com/josh-ha...iggest-weakness-devastating-loss-devin-booker

If this writer is to be believed the Suns aren't playing hard in KD's absence. Only Devon seems to be showing up.

If Jalen doesn't "make synergy" before the trade deadline he might be part of Phoenix's rebuild. I'll be honest, I'm a little bit of a Jalen doubter, but who wouldn't trade Jalen for Devon Booker if he continues the trend of not quite become the second alpha behind Alpi. (BTW I'm not a Alpi only fan, just a Rockets fan.)

Who wouldn't trade Jalen for Devon? Let's be honest.

Jalen cannot be part of a trade until july. So if we get booker at the deadline it will have to be several other players and picks.

Dude is 22. It's not the amount of years in the NBA it's a guy's age which determines his potential or not. Pablo Prigioni entered the league at 35 yrs old did people say he had so much untapped potential?

For some players it takes them a while to reach their potential, for some players they get it instantly. For example Sengun was already an 18 yr old MVP in the Euroleague and still continues to be better and better every year. OTH Andrew Wiggins only reached his potential at age 25 when he got traded to the Warriors.

I'm not sure whether Jalen will ever consistently hit his ceiling but at least we know the ceiling is there. He gets the buy in of Udoka and that's worth something since Udoka doesn't give a crap about anyone except veterans. Despite what the stats say Jalen is an integral part of the team.

This is part of Stone's master plan to get the PHX picks and give them leverage to get KD or Booker. Even Jalen's contract was made in a way to facilitate possible trades.

Booker is the only star that's potentially available that I'm willing to get, at 28 he still young enough to be part of the core and his game ages really well. However any trades will have to be done after the season since Jalen can't be traded this year. I'd say let them tank so we get a high pick in a loaded draft class.

Statistics - "if you flip a fair coin, it will come out heads 50% of the time."

Person who flip a coin 10 times and got 3 heads - "Statistics is BS and I got hard evidence to prove it"
