My only worry is that we played pretty **** teams so he might be massively overperforming rn. The next three games are crucial to assess his real level. We’re playing the Mavs, Warriors, and Knicks. If he wets his pants again during this stretch i'm officially done with him. If he stays at this level, then he’s really figured things out
One noticeable change is Udoka is letting Green close out the game defensively, unlike last season where he might get subbed in for guys like Holiday. He definitely showed that he can close out games defensively, especially with that big box out and rebound over Sochan (who was killing us on rebounds).
He is playing better and his shot is better. It is not a matter of scoring high. That's why I and many others had questions although he had a lot of high scoring games. He should be well worth the contract for sure.
Pure grade BS. Steven Adams gets in the game and shivers the defenders knees or gets out of the screen in a very timely manner. You rarely have to see Green snake the screen like KPj and Jalen Green have to do when Sengun plays. It's getting better but the Sengun screen lacks a lot to be desired.
Did you actually watch the games or are you just reading your metrics sheets? It's clear as day he's turned the corner, this is one of those times where you don't need to be careful. If you've seen great players before you know what they look like, no morey metrics required
Why are you trying to pretend to be rational or have any validity? You've been an NBA fan 3 years and you're trying to capitulate because your guy looks half asleep. Go back to blind hatred, I could at least respect you for consistency. You're just pathetic at this point.
You're a real one. I remember you (and some of the others who've stuck around) standing out as one of the cool Sengun fans as opposed to the rabid ones who were calling everybody insults that a preschooler would use. Respect.
Metrics 4 games in are worthless, though i will admit i looked at a bit of the edey ones because of the nonsense in that other thread. Hope you're right and this is legit though, looks good so far
Why are you posting tweets from a no-name Julie Gilchridt and not guys like Bradeaux, Will (Biased Houston), Roosh, or Jackson Gatlin. Who the hell is this no name chick?
What's noticeable different is he's actually trying and putting forth a lot more effort on defense. Maybe it just takes a guaranteed contract to get him to try hard cuz he's not scared of injury. Starting with the first game in the first quarter he played some of the best 1 on 1 defense I've seen from him in 3 years. For a lot of us that didn't like giving him a contract that was one of the biggest reasons and so far this year he seems to be turning the corner on that end which is encouraging. Never cared how much he scores, just wanted him to contribute in other ways.
Who the hell is Julie Gilchrist and why is anyone linking tweets from her. Only Bradeaux and Will are clutchfans worthy IMO.
Best 2 way player on the roster right now, and it isn't close. There may be better defenders, but none with anywhere near the scoring gravity to make up the difference.
What a game by Green. I doubt the Spurs will compete for the playoffs but they will probably be a top 10 defense. Not an easy win.
