Yup and he cleaned up 3 things on his 3 point shot this offseason. Usually players only change one at a time so he really committed to his shot improving this offseason. His change of pace is a lot better too.
The nba is actually doing it. You are just imagining something completely different. Extending legs are not fouls anymore. Contact initiated by offense is not foul anymore. The nba is actively trying to let defenses to play defense because they went way too much in favor of offense. Edit: Also in the playoffs they call fouls much harder. That is part of the same idea. When things get serious, they are actually trying to let defenses play defense. but not in the regular season, and not against star players.
The real problem is that fouls are not called properly - especially the star calls. When an offensive player initiates contact - he has committed according to the rules. These are also the type of calls where referee bias has the biggest impact. The league really needs to get back to basics on that .... It's much like the "rip thru" move that Durant, Harden and others employed - the defender is entitled to his space and the offensive player technically initiated the contact - it should be an offensive foul or at worst a no call. Many of the situations where the offensive and defensive players are competing for the same space and there is a collision, should result in a play on .... Both players are entitled to that space until one or the other has established himself in it. The league itself is the problem - they want these big numbers and highlight reels, thinking it's entertaining. I think it makes for a less competitive and less entertaining product. The competition is what makes all the drama in sports - without it you have nothing.
That's exactly what I meant by let the defense play defense. Especially the space interpreted to be offense's space all the time.
"Jalen is nowhere close to being a Kobe type player" "The organization's done with Jalen, I guarantee it" "KPJ has more star potential than Jalen Green" "Reed Sheppard will be better than Jalen day 1" "He paints his nails, he'll never have that killer mentality" I'm forgetting some, I'll add them later
Nah that's different. I've never seen you just post (with no reason at all) how you have unbridled hatred for any of the players, just to hate them. That dude has, he doesn't get to enjoy Jalen's successes.
This is just a delight to see. At least one of the guys we paid is showing up and living up to his contract. He's so fun to watch when he's got his confidence.
"We shouldn't extend Jalen Green for any amount, he's a bust." "Jalen Green is a low IQ human being, he'll never be a difference maker on a team." "Jalen only cares about fashion, not basketball. He's just a feminine gay kid with no alpha traits." "Jalen could never be a Kobe type player, he's soft."
Nah sorry, too many receipts to pull first. The haters don't get to absolve themselves of that after all the insane hatred/vitriol they've spewed towards the numero uno.
Be careful though, i (and several others) got a lot of **** and i told you so’s and all that when brooks started hot last season. Of course he almost immediately reverted back to being trash and we never heard from his supporters again. Hopefully this won’t happen here
