Jalen Green honestly needs to internally work on his Mentality and Ruthless Aggression. A Shooting, Dribbling, Defensive Coach (Former Point Guard) and a Sports Psychologist is needed on the Rockets. Team wise the Rockets as a whole struggle to shoot 3 Pointers. Jalen Green struggle with Confidence with himself, The Coaches and Fred VanVleet waving him off, which hurts the Trust. It starts with Practice going against Dillon Brooks, Tari Eason, Jabari Smith, Fred VanVleet. Playing Aggressive Defense against them and scoring against them. Followed by a Great Team Practice and having Consistent Games. Points, Rebounds, Assists, Steals, Blocks.
According to that 2nd year Murray was better 3pt shooter than 3rd year Green. He was also more efficient.
Yes. But the difference doesn't necessarily seem as massive and insurmountable as the difference to Curry. If Alpi can continue to improve on his trajectory as our franchise player, and with Bari, Tari, FVV, Brooks being solid and hopefullly Amen and Cam panning out, if Green could become as efficient a shooter as Murray is now, it might be enough to make us a contender.
Number one at what exactly is my question. IMO, he could be our number one offensive star or could be our number one bust.
Number one is Sengun. That is settled. But Jalen and Jabari could be great 1B and 1Cs eventually. Right now, the leader on the court is FVV, the best player/franchise player is Alpi. Dillon is the defensive leader. Tari is the heart and soul. Tate is the Swiss knife. Amen and Cam are still unknowns. If one or both of them can rise to the level of Jalen and Jabari or beyond...that would be amazing, but it would also raise questions about whom to keep and whom to trade for possibly a proven vet or future picks.
Right now FVV is 1b and Brooks is 1c..........Jabari at times is 1C and at times 2A...... Green right now is just a helping scorer....who puts up points to fill the score board. This leadership stuff can be talked later but mostly they fill the role....of the 2nd best players.
The quickest way to trigger sengun only fans is to start threads championing said player is the best over sengun.
