Booker was someone who was picked at 13th or something and was not viewed as a huge prospect is what I am saying. He worked his way to becoming a potential Top 10 or Top 11 player in this league on work ethic alone. Pretty under the radar guy though. I think Green is probably somewhere between a Russ Westbrook and De'Aaron Fox ......and also the Rockets seem to be a better Sacramento Kings.....with more talent in the future.
Is that the route you really wanna go down? If we're talking about play-style and skill-set then Jalen resembles some SG's with significantly higher prestige than Booker more than he resembles anybody else, and we know y'all hate them discussions.
Yeah, I think the Russel Westbrook comp is similar. The question is, what is his ceiling if he pushes through the shooting issues. Penny, Tatum, Wade... Jalen is unique as a 2 guard.
Man, it's such a shame that the FO and Ime have been out on Jalen for months and we're trading him in the offseason. Oh, what could've been...
This is something he really, really struggled at previously. It was looking really good in the off-season but during the early part of the season his mechanics we're really erratic again, most notably the jump height on all his jumpers. Lately, what I've seen on his really crisp jumpers is that he is focusing on following through with his wrist to create extra spin on the ball. You can really tell this on his quicker release, look-away 3's, that he has been drilling. It's absolutely crazy that after all the chatter of Green's inefficiency, which was valid at the time, that he will end the season averaging career highs in FG% and 3PT%. If he can consistently average 45% FG / 35% 3pt then he will be a locked and loaded All-Star for many seasons to come. Especially so if he starts to reduce his TO rate.
