Yes, Gilbert Arenas is definitely a man with infallible judgment.

Wow. Just think how bloody amazing Sengun is going to be considering this is only his training season, and he's this good already! Crikey.

C'mon this is not a real thread. I get some may see Jalen really turning it around, and honestly its a league of opportunities, if you really pressed someone to be a star, and the league agrees with you and you keep trying they may end up being one, but he nor Cam are point guards and I can not see them starting both. We have seen how important a stabilizing point guard is. FVV and Brooks are the primary reason we have more wins than Detroit right now, without them we would have wasted big games from Alpren that ended up being losses. That said, I think the probability of Jalen becoming anything like what Ant is as far as overall impact is extremely slim. He does not have the personality to do that.

    Brunson.

Stone wants a Muggsy Bogues / Spud Webb type backcourt.

Jalen Green is a huge part of the Rockets Core.

Whoever is against Jalen Green does not know the NBA or Guards History.

The First Four Years of Guards they all Struggled

Stephen Curry playing behind Monta Ellis
Curry had so many Ankle Injuries, Career threatening for sure.

    Devin Booker
    Zack Lavine
    Jamal Murray
    Bradley Beal

Look at their Stats their First 4 Years Gradually they Developed as Players.

Followed your recommendation and just looked at Curry's stats vs. Jalen's stats first three years of their respective careers. The biggest difference I see is shooting, especially 3-point shooting. Do you think Jalen can get close to Curry on that? Or even up to 38, 39 %?

The difference in advanced stats also looks pretty brual, what am I missing?

I hope you will be right...

To be more fair, since Curry is probably the best shooter ever, I included all of the players you mentioned in the comparison.

That looks much more palatable. Murray's shooting stats his first three years were much more comparable to Jalen - and Murray did end up being a key contributor on a championship run.

If Jalen could eventually be to Alpi what Jamal Murray became to Jokic (a great 1B, maybe on equal footing with Jabari or one of the other young guns), I think that would be a great outcome for the Rockets.

Zooming in on Murray, he did indeed have a pretty big jump in shooting efficiency after 4 years, as you point out, @rockets1995.

Would be interesting to understand what he/the team changed to get there.

I still have high hopes for Jalen. I think the first step is that "the front office" and Jalen need to understand that his role is to be the 1B.
