Didn't you notice all these extremist Jalen fans change their narratives lately - "He is not paid like an all-star"..."He is paid like a 2nd or 3rd option, why you guys always want him to have the 'IT' "... blablabla..Yet, still blaming others, blaming the tactics, blaming the ball is not in Jalen's hand...yeah, when the ball was in his hand, he delivered five turnovers in the game within 25 mins...

It's never about the contract size or anything, I really do think he is not worth keeping....When he can' make the shots, I am not even sure whether he is better than Nick Young.

Unless we pull an upset and win the next 3 games with Jalen poppin off (it's not happening), then he's 100% gone in the off-season.

The good news for us is so many all-star players are going to be available this summer. Trae Young, Giannis, Devin Booker, KD.

DD, the sad thing is the Pistons would definitely NOT make that trade.

never liked him BUT that has changed after he elbowed Donkey, he need better micro- coaching/management , simpler duties to perform (defined role)instead of carrying the franchise tourch ,and less useless chapters too would be appreciated

You don't think so? Even if we tossed in a PHX pick?

Ivey would make us so much better with his ball handling, pace, passing and finishing.

Ivey shoots 46% overall and 41% from 3.....

Cut your losses and move on.

This is no longer about maximizing your trade value. Its about getting rid of a guy who is a drag on the team. This is not a tanking team that can afford to keep throwing out underachieving players. You will NEVER win anything with a player of Jalens caliber being your highest usage player.

He commands too many resources and at some point Stone has got to see that the return on his investment is not going to be there and pull the plug.

Jalen is the addition you made to your business that you thought would bring in a ton of customers and add value... Instead, its just become a money pit and isnt making any revenue. Ditch it and find something else that works. Youll never recoup what you spent, but dont sink yourself further trying to hold out hope for something that clearly sucks.

I’ve been converted… I think it’s time to go after Durant or Booker. They have to have a player that can make shots consistently. Trade anyone they will accept and get it done. And maybe they’ll luck up and get the top pick and have to develop another project.

I meant straight up. With enough sweetener, of course they would.

You are aware Ivey leveled up this season before he got hurt, right?

I wouldnt call Jalen a drag, he is an inconsistent player that can not be a teams 1 or 2 option. The rockets gambled his potential to be a #1 and hopefully this series shuts that perception down and they do something about it. Problem is it has taken IME TOO LONG TO REALIZE THIS especially in the last game without Jimmy to try and end the 4th quarter with JG on when he was a 0.

    I would, and did.

Hes the highest usg player with bad efficiency. You will never have a good offense with that. You have to bench a guy youre counting on is the definition of being a drag. Now you have to have players take on roles they werent meant to take on. Now your gameplan changes mid game because one of your top players just didnt show up.

Also, Jalen is not inconsistent. Jalen has been VERY consistent his entire career. He has been mostly sub par with some occasional hot streaks or high scoring games. I know exactly what to expect out of him over the course of several games.

I think there going to have to trade Green for atleast 2 shooters to surround Segun and Thompson.
Those are obviously there 2 best players

    Get lamelo and CJ McCollum.

If not, give cam Whitmore a chance at starting SG.

Jalen, Tari, Cam, 3 phoenix picks for Giannis.

Sengun, Giannis, Dillon, Amen, Fred with Bari and other shooters off the bench.

I've been consistent since day 1 when I preferred Mobley. That said, this team needs to go big game hunting. As much as I like Durant, he's 35 and Booker is a 1 way player. The target should be Giannis and Giannis only. The news of Dame out with the torn Achilles and really no other players, the Rockets are one of the few teams that can give them young players, picks without gutting their team. Green and Jabari gives them a 2 and 4 who are both young and throw in Fred, some form of the suns picks and there you have it. Plug Reed in at pg, Thompson at the 2 and Brooks,Giannis, Sengun, that's a championship quality team. Giannis gonna get you 30 12 and 6, Sengun 20 9, Thompson will fill the box as will Tari off the bench. Again, they're one of the few teams who can do that.

I hold on to my belief that the only reason we extended him was to trade him this summer.
It was an undeserved extension where we could have had cap space if we waited till RFA for him and Alp. We must have thought of a benefit to killing that cap space and surely that has to be for trades.

Now is the summer to decide on who we are building around going forward and to trade the others for pieces that fit. Personally, I would make Amen and Alpi our core (a core is not 7 guys) and surround them with shooting. I think Reed and Smith could still be great fits for that but Green has to be gone.
