i just saw a video about Larrys sneaky athleticism. He definitely items yammed on some folks in his day … but granted obviously not A level nba athleticism.
You do not overthink it and if he had no athleticism the Rockets would not have selected him and you would not have gotten attached.
Hate to say it but I prefer Garrison Mathews , not only does he have better numbers than Green in all shooting splits , he plays solid D and hustles all over the court and almost never turns the ball over.
Talented wings are hard to find. I think we made the right pick, even if we went with Mobley there are no talented wings that are sure fire 1st, 2nd, or even 3rd pick selections..
Not sure about that, Jalen Hardy has Steph Curry comps and Jaden Ivey has been compared to D. Wade. I also think AJ Griffin has potential to be a beast.
Just remember that Jalen Green was compared to Kobe .... Gotta take all these comparisons with a grain of salt ..... Its not often a draft pick measures up to the greats that he's been compared to pre draft. These kinds of comparisons are unfair to the kid from the get go.
hope that guy gets 30min a game too, but his offense is strictly catch n shoot, can’t create shots like green and at 25 has much less chance than green for further development
You'll get no argument from me , other than Green has been "that bad" on both ends of the floor .... I haven't given up on him yet either but damn , if he's failing that bad , give Christopher some of those minutes. Yeah , Mathews ceiling is capped at .... catch and shoot 3&D who's on the small side. Thing is , while Garrison hasn't shot up to his career numbers (40%) he has done good things on the other end. The Augustin / Martin / Sengun / Mathews / House lineup was really good defensively. The string of possessions from that group against the Bulls was probably the best half quarter of defense they have played all year.
Garrison as he gets more playing time will show more inconsistencies. He's not bouncing all over the league on different teams for nothing. He just has more NBA experience than Jalen right now.
I do think the Rockets should fine a way to keep him if he’s consistent but I like his game ,he take wild shots at times though lol
