Strange take I don’t think his advanced stats look bad. Is TS 65% bad for a guard? No right? https://stats.gleague.nba.com/player/1630224/
https://www.basketball-reference.com/gleague/players/g/greenja02d.html I’m specifically referring to his win shares per 48, his Orating and Drating Maybe it means absolutely nothing at the g league level but it stood out to me.
That’s just the playoffs it showed. You have to change it to regular season. https://stats.gleague.nba.com/player/1630224/?Season=2020-21&SeasonType=Regular Season
I think the piston would be better off with Mobley because they already have hayes Hayes Bey Grant Stewart Mobley Just seem better to me.
yeah, those look great. IDK, maybe he confused Kumingas advanced stats with Greens? The 29 USG is a pleasant surprise. High USG perimeter player with really good efficiency in todays game? Sign me up
Still impressive when you realize, he is straight from high school and was learning on the go and by playoff time, he had future star written all over his advanced stats
Yeah i figured you were looking at the drating and net, i'm not worried about his defensive stats. It's 2021, aint nobody got time for defense.
For a kid coming straight out of HS and playing against grown men and shooting the longer NBA 3 for the first time, he was very good. He started off slowly but he ended up averaging 17.9 pts with 36.5% 3pt% and 61.3 TS%. In his only playoff game he went for 30pts, 5 reb, 7 ast and 3 steals and posting 65% TS%. Even though he was adjusting to the higher level of play, he was still efficient and he kept getting better and better. Green was coached in the G-League by Brian Shaw. Here's Shaw's quote about Greeen: The kid has the drive and work ethic to be great. The Rockets pick is likely coming from the group of Mobley, Green and Suggs. Do Suggs or Mobley's stats alone tell you that they should be the #2 pick?
Got it - I was cringing bad when I saw the initial defensive rating and net like I can’t argue sht. Doesn’t really jump out as red flag bad stuff to me.
