JG is a freak contortionist. Moreso than his speed and his bounce, this is what makes his game so special. Still not sure that 36% 3P holds up in NBA however, he is such a streaky 3ball shooter (very similar to Porter). And not certain if he can ever be a reliable PnR passer, all opposing teams have to do is hedge hard to conflate his passing options. But his "radical self belief" (love that descriptor) will make him a success in NBA. Great vid!
I was almost embarrassed for the guy, it was almost king cheetah level basketball analysis. Cringey. You never want to go full kingcheetah.
I can't believe we lucked out and got a high pick the perfect year. I've followed Jalen Green since his AAU days and hype videos. Too many highly drafted wing guys are only raw freak athletes like Edwards or Wiggins but Jalen is a freak athlete in addition to actually already having basketball skills. Jalen is graceful as opposed to being robotic and already has a radar scoring instinct that GMs desperately hope other freak athletes figure out how to develop. Sky is the limit as he matures.
might as well compare Zach Lavine to Paul Pierce while we’re at it…that’s the type of video u should never hit upload on
“17.9PPG on 61.3% TS, 2.8 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 2 hairstyles per 36 minutes.” “Official measurements are hard to come by but sources have Green somewhere between 6’5-6’6 in shoes with a 6’8 wingspan.” (Ringer video listed 6’5.25”)
If Jalen Green went to college he would be a the consensus #1, getting more time to get acclimated to his team and playing against students. Instead he went to a g league bubble for 15 games immediately thrust into competition against grown ass men. I would compare his first 15 games to an NBA rookie out of high school's first 15 games.
According to a poster here Gene’s stats there were worthless. The league is worthless. And Green’s bball IQ is easily the worst out of the top picks. So to be honest I don’t know where your going with your post because if what that poster is right Green should probably go at the end of the 2nd round.
I find it odd that you have confidence that Mobley will get better at shooting 3's at the NBA level. [30.0% (3P%) @ 1.2 (3PA's) per game] college 3-pt line But Jalen Green may not be consistent shooting 3's in the NBA with greater spacing. [ Green only shot 36.5% (3P%) @ 5.7 (3PA's) per game ] NBA distance (G-league) I find your consistency as inconsistent
They're right on one thing for sure, Green is a polarizing player but his commitment to getting better would make him a safer pick.
