Green is better than Ivey and these bigs are better than Mobley.

    So no.

IMO Green has a higher ceiling than Barnes, Mobley, Banchero, or Ivey.

Basically, the Rockets got the best player available, which is what you'd want to happen.

I believe Green will have a better career than Ivey. And I believe he has the single trait that is the hardest to find: he can get you a basket when you need it.

Now, I believe Mobley could be better than all 3 of this years potential number 1 picks. But none of them (inucluding Mobley) seem to be true #1 options - maybe Banchero.

So no, I think Green + Banchero/Chet/Jabari is better than Ivey + Mobely/Barnes.

I'm more than satisfied with the growth of Jalen Green. He will keep on getting better. No regrets here at all.

No regrets so long as he keeps looking like the player he did the last month or so. There's always going to be "what if" scenarios but the Rockets aren't in a bad position now. They have their backcourt set for the future with 2 young guys both capable of being all star caliber one day, they just need to round out their frontcourt by picking up a PF to play next to Sengun and this team could be contending in a brief few years.

Certainly there's no "regret" based around the prospect of having Ivey instead.....a smaller, less talented version of Jalen Green.

I get it, and the bottom line is that a scoring SG is easier to find than an elite 2-way forward/big. And yes, Green is an ordinary scoring SG right now, but he has the potential to become a true superstar, that's not ordinary netiher easy to find. And that's a ceiling probably out of Barnes'/Mobley's range.

If Green can't fullfill his potential, the pick will become a mistake, but everything looks good so far with him in terms of capacity, mentality, work ethic. So no regrets.

Chet and Jabari are the best fits with Sengun. Paolo is a better player than Alperen. I still think BPA is the way to go here. If Paolo is projected to be a better all round pro than Ivey , then Stone should select him.

I think they all fit, Sengun is more of a C and Banchero and Chet (despite his height) are better in forward roles.

Picking a 3rd guard at #3 overall to play the EXACT same role as the guard you picked at #2 last year just seems foolish.....but even then, I don't see Ivey being BPA in any scenario at #3.

I get the BPA talking points, but indulging the notion of Ivey being BPA for a moment, if a player brings literally nothing to your team....why pick them over players who would?

Also, I'll be curious to see Sengun's official height when he's finally Jaden Ivey's age. My guess is he'll have grown a touch.

They put Mobley the unicorn as center and lost every game and then he got hurt after the physicality. Wait till Chet gets in.

Thanks guys for focusing on an obvious typo of kpj. You really know how to utilize your time...

As i said, i don't think i do have regrets. I do wonder though if we may have been better off (yes assuming same draft position) with a different combo of high picks...

The thought came to me because with Banchero (assuming it's him) our league worst defense is likely to remain intact. That's a recipe for being the next Kings or Twolves, not rebuilding into a contender...

It's possible Green gets much better on defense, he is very young... a lot of other young guys play both ways already which does reduce the risk that Green is never an average defender.

Just personal opinion... i think Green, Mobley, or Cunningham go first in this draft.

I don't see the argument that chet, Banchero, and Jabari have more upside than Mobley... I could be wrong, i just don't see the data or film to suggest so...

    I'm fine with

    Ivey
    Green
    Porter
    Eason
    Sengun

Drafting Kel'el Ware (projected #8 in 2023).....shoots 3's. Maybe even better than Evan Mobley

*Just a side note: Raptors were projected to take BPA in Suggs
last season but saw Scottie Barnes as a Draymond type and
went with fit and NBA trend. Won rookie of the year.

BPA is not always the wise move.
