the degrees matter. Harden and Curry, for example, are not great defensive players by any means, but are much, much better than Green. And their offensive production is on another level.

Maxey, Herro and Lilard are bad, but even they were better than Green. Green was disgustingly disengaged and disoriented, not an NBA player on that end.

KPJ in 2021 when he came from the G-league was that bad and disinterested, but has made an effort since then. Green was a complete zero, easily the worst in the NBA among major minutes guys.

OK, that’s fine, I am not getting paid to analyze the game.
However, it just so happens that on this particular opinion, I am supported by every advanced metric there. Pick RAPTOR, DARKO, whatever aнd Green is at the very bottom in all of them.

So, I am not your problem here…

Lol, you think I was legit saying”at least he’s not DH bad?” No. Use your brain. I was saying YALL act like he’s DH because he’s not a GOOD shooter (now). How he gets those shots, the shots he’s forced to take, his age, the team’s age, coachin, etc ALL of that plays into his percentages. That’s not “spin” @Bobbythegreat that’s CONTEXT.

do you think Tmac was a “terrible shooter?” Because he shot like .22 from 3 his 2nd or 3rd season and had other years he shot poorly.

you simply have to watch him shoot to know he’s not a “terrible shooter.” He gets good rotation, high elevation, and is generally on line. You have no idea how much leg strength it takes to be a good shooter in games and a skinny guy that’s in his second year is naturally going to struggle with consistency. We saw it with Jabari too. Is he a “terrible shooter?” Of course not. And if you think he is. You legitimately do not know basketball. You can’t look at a stat sheet and ignore everything that happens on the court and ignore the actual physical movements of his shot — which, especially for Jabari, are quite excellent.

And you don’t think coaching had anything to do with that? Even if Silas wasn’t a bad coach, he was known completely for his offense. Who was a good defender on our team besides Tari?

He was a better defender than others — not sure he was all that good. He fouled a lot and struggled against anyone with size. I think he can get there — it takes bigs longer (particularly to learn not to foul — or give opponents changes to bait calls).

How can you take @Bobbythegreat seriously? He has shown his cards. You can tell by his reasoning that he has never played the game at any level. He doesn’t understand the very metrics he looks at and takes these numbers as gospel without deeper analysis and context. And lastly his hatred for Green runs deep for whatever reason, so much that he couldn’t bring it to compliment Green on anything except saying Green is only good on fast breaks lol. He didn’t have any other positive things to say about him when I directly asked him what are the positives to Jalen’s game. This shows his hand. And telling that he is an extremely biased a$$hole that knows nothing about Basketball and I mean nothing. Nothing but pontificate and spew bullshi+ on here feigning knowledge and acting as if he is a damn coaching guru.

You should read his 1000’s of posts on politics as well. He’s an expert in many things. In reality he is smart guy that can articulate his thoughts. Extremely abrasive and enjoys insulting people. I think it’s pathetic and he knows it too. Just a pathetic online persona if I have seen one.

I could only imagine based on how he views basically every player, that every president dating back to Continental Congress era to current is just flat out horrible

But J Hanson may be his E Mobley, ya never know

He came over as a international defensive star who even did well against team usa and left as a top slow to be a really good defender. I thinking coaching played a role in that

Lol, ya gotta love it when a small group of posters of highly questionable intelligence get together for a group coping session like this.

Your circle jerk doesn't make your hot takes any more accurate, but I'm sure on some level it makes you feel better about always getting smacked around by objective reality.

    Stay strong heroes.

I'm glad Jalen Green has been selected to the US team camp for the FIBA World Championships. A good show here will improve his confidence.

That's a good point Hali made. These team usa games and practices are like all-star games... If the players cared like it was a playoff game.

His defensive instincts are really bad ..... but I really wonder how much of this is due to how he came up thru the basketball process, it appeared to me he had coaches who coddled him rather than challenging him to be better. He was the star and was treated as such.
