Do you do it? That's exactly what Anthony Edward's got. Kinda worried it will be another mistake like Brooks.
A mistake like Brooks? $80 M for Basketball Rasputin? No mistake. And to your question. Not sure I'm ready to commit that kind of money to JG and good thing we don't need to yet.
Isn't this just a thread disguised as "Jalen Green is the franchise player". I'm going to need @Os Trigonum to confirm.
Edwards signed for $206m, not $260m. That’s 25% of the cap, with max raises. Apparently, it can still convert to a supermax extension, if he makes All-NBA https://www.spotrac.com/nba/minnesota-timberwolves/anthony-edwards-70643/
Didn't I not tell you all it was coming? If the Rockets given Jalen that extension it will set us back. They need to trade him or come to an agreement for a lesser contract, same for Sengun. They are not there yet.
Today? No. But maybe he explodes later this season. Right now I’d let him walk and wouldn’t be too concerned with finding an explosive scorer with flaws in a future draft. Definitely not risking 260 on him TODAY.
Green can’t get $260m unless he makes All-NBA. Edwards will get $206m, if he doesn’t make it this year. It converts to 260, if he does.
Jalen Green is a lot damn closer than some of you guys think. He is getting 6.5 FTA a game and he is shooting 38% from three. His defense and effort have noticeably improved. When he hits his rhythm it is going to be scary. I buy stock in Alperen, Jalen, and Jabari.
He takes way too ****ing many mid-range jumpers. From outside 3' to 3P he's shooting .260 overall. Just ****ing abysmal. He needs to take 3's or drive to rim and get fouled.
No, use the money for more production -- shouldn't be hard. Never fall in love with a player just because the team drafted him. Move on if it doesn't work -- don't double down on a mistake.
