Russ had an insane motor and was physically strong with better handles. They are not comparable at all really unless Jalen gets stronger, cleans up his handles, and then develops a similar motor.
Just an exercise after lunch. Guess who's the 1st player is? His efficiency is insane this year. 1. _________ 35 2023-24 2023-24 18 14 31.6 5.6 11.9 .472 2.7 4.9 .557 2.9 7.0 .413 .593 0.6 0.8 .786 0.4 1.7 2.1 2.9 1.0 0.6 1.5 1.5 14.7 2. Personally I don’t feel he changed that much, or that he was ever soft. Just went from being the number 1 option on a meh team to playing with Kobe and Bynum. Being on a winning team changed the narrative around him.
Time to resurrect this thread In all seriousness, great game by Jalen. The issue is that he typically follows it up with an handful of awful ones. Let’s see if he can build off of this… but for now, let’s celebrate a road W!
lol funny you say that when his team consistently finished better than Kobe's Lakers did before they got him. He was always on playoff teams and his team always had good records just in the playoffs he was up against Tim Duncan and dirk,
No, it’s not. Numero Uno doesn’t presuppose that player is a franchise player. It just means best. But you can’t win without a true franchise player. “Numero Uno” was made when Jalen bottomed out. Therefore, Numero Uno isn’t “better”, it’s just an easier, kinder goal for Jalen.
What you say is true. But in the context of Clutchfans, we have about 7 or 8 franchise players. Being numero uno means being better than all the franchise players.
Also Numero Uno does not hold that much gravity in an area where Spanish is not the 1st spoken language. And Numero Uno of what precisely is not specified, there were tons of better players than him in the history of the game and the Rockets. It just means it is a subjective wish from several of his so called fans.
