He'd give us the starting quality SG that the team currently lacks if we just liked at on court stuff but unfortunately there's no overlooking off court stuff.
He's getting lost in his mind, and it shows on the court. He's playing worse and worse as the games go by, and doesn't do nothing, not even the things he did well the last two years. I know it's a new system, and he's trying to fit in, but he doesn't play with force. Ime seems to trust him, so I think he will snap out of it eventually, but I'm starting to lose hope in him.
The coaching change hit Jalen hard. He looks lost and confused out there. That's tough to watch, but hopefully he'll adapt before the season gets too much farther along. It's no time to be tentative when your teammates are out there hooping their asses off.
Welcome to the dog house Jalen, @i3artow i3aller come make some gifs shting on Ime to defend your boy
Did Ime bench Jalen down the stretch there or did he get hurt or something? I was watching the game but couldn't hear the sound.
Benched for Aaron Holiday. Franchise player my ass. Y’all owe @Plowman an apology. Sengun is so far ahead of these other two cats, it’s not even close, not even funny. Go ahead, bring on the excuses. “Cut Kevin! Kevin sucks! He’s in his 3rd year! No more excuses!” “If Jalen is as bad as Kevin in his 3rd year, I won’t make excuses for him.” Annnnd here come the excuses. I know @DaDakota and @Bobbythegreat remember this. “You want to get rid of a 20 point scorer?! You’re crazy!” Sorry, not impressed. Never been easier to score 20 (or 30) in the NBÀ. He’s not Michael Jordan He’s not Kobe Bryant He’s not Devin Booker He’s not Bradley Beal He’s not Anthony Edwards He’s not even Zach LaVine Not even sure he’s better than a Tyler Herro (3rd year Herro or now) Franchise player? Absolutely not. “but but but he was the 2nd overall pick!” OK, cool hook ‘em Is he even as good as his Filipino “brother”?
I think it’s fair to question whether Jalen Green even deserves to be a starter, although I just don’t see an alternative on this team other than Cam and he isn’t even getting spot minutes. From what I’ve observed, Jalen just doesn’t have the brains to make good decisions on the court. Can he become smarter with reps and experience? Possibly, but enough to become a consistent, All-Star quality player? I have my doubts - guys who play dumb as young players don’t typically become savants later.
Beware…you’re about to be called a “hater” and a “negative fan” and be reminded constantly “he’s only 21” and how much “the coaching change has affected his play” so you “can’t judge him quite yet”.
What's funny is I don't even know people who support Jalen make those type of excuses for him. Look there will be losers who will write off his career at age 21 because he has a 2 week bad stretch learning a system. I get it he looks bad but why do people need to create false narratives in his head/ Green ahs no one to blame but himself right now for getting benched tonight. Right now it looks bad. He looks like he's regressed offensively also. Probably the type of player who is used to feeling the ball a lot in a game and gets in a rhythm and now he has to get used to not having the ball in his hands a lot. It's obviously ****ing with his head. He's a lot more indecisive and just looks like he is second guessing himself.
We lose by single digits. We lose games we should win. He is our shooting guard and he can't shoot. If he had played slightly better than ass we would've beaten Lakers and probably GSW. He's 2-9 from 3pt line that's lower than 0.3 come on man.
