I get tired of your endless personal shots while contributing no value to the board. You can't seem to participate in a real discussion with any poster. It's just poo flinging. Please continue to dribble insults as much as you'd like. Just don't count on me playing a part in them.
Green for Ball is a lateral move. This team needs culture players and the only ones we have is Tari, Jabari and Tate of all people. As long as KPj exists on the team we aren't going anywhere. I'd take Scoot over Ball 10000x.
Lamelo is a playmaker and would literally make all the players you mentioned better. We haven't seen Scoot play in the NBA yet. Ball is already an all-star and might as well be the same age as Green. If we had Lamelo KPJ would either be playing off-ball or starting on the bench.
Then why is his team so bad this year? If he’s so magical and can make that cast an improvement over Green - his team should be much much better.
Getting rid of your youngster with great potential just to slot kpj back into his natural position is a waste of time. Aside from the extra assets needed to be given to acquire Ball. Essentially we are giving up on the failed kpj pg experiment. Folks already know it's a sht experiment aside from the few including op. If kpj is progressing as well they claim, it's a lateral move.
I'm pretty sure Ball would leap at the opportunity to trade places with Green, the Rockets have significantly more talent than the Hornets. He'd get to go from playing with Terry Rozier to KPJ, that's a fairly massive upgrade for him and Ball is an upgrade over Green across the board on both sides of the ball. Right now, they aren't even close.
There is no magic elixir cure all, still got to go through the growing pains but it would be a more balanced lineup and team. But the way KPJ is growing as a PG and playing better, maybe it is moot. DD
Trading Green for Ball would be shifting deckchairs on the titanic. You’d still have the exact same problems. the marginal improvement in ball distribution wouldn’t over the glaring deficiencies we have in roster balance.
And my position is that if he was such the superstar - he’d make the team his on far better that what they are. He’s more similar in nature to Green than you’re making it out to be. I’ve seen Harden carry warmed over turds to a solid record.
It would be trading a bag of magic beans for an actual "budding superstar". That one change likely leads to 10+ wins easy. It would drastically improve the defense, allow KPJ to play off ball more to get more catch and shoot 3's where he's better than 40% on while giving KPJ someone who can actuality hit the wide open shots he creates for him when he happens to be on ball. The team would still be young, but they'd be light years ahead of the current one with that one move.
Ball has only played 13ish games so far too. Using the "well the Hornets aren't doing well" ignores: 1) Their roster actually sucks outside of Ball 2) Ball has been injured (which is an argument you could make against him) Rockets had horrible records when Yao and TMac were injured too. Doesn't make them lesser players than Ben Wallace and Monta Ellis.
