I do not think that is the entire reason. They are playing the veterans before trade deadline. Ideally they play the healthy guys, being shorthanded. It is a coincidence that he comes back from the injury as well.
Those two guys are two really good role players right now that are play above expectations because they have good point guards. On the Rockets right now they wouldn't look this good.
They gave KPJ away because he acted like an idiot when he was there. Hopefully he’s learned his lesson and will conduct himself like a professional going forward.
I disagree, those guys games aren’t dependent on point guards. Having them doesn’t hurt but you can see the value in both guys with or without the guards they have. And I don’t believe the Rockets have a superstar player on their roster now either.
Green absolutely has tons of potential. But he’s been a dud so far. In no way should he be written off, he’s just not as ready for the NBA as it was made out to seem predraft. That’s ok. Let him learn and develop.
I'm just saying, if you'd rather support Allen and Mobley, there's a team they both play for that I'm sure would be happy of your support. You know, considering you don't like this team.
You have not watched the season clearly, scoring is not everything, and he was inefficient at it. Your mind is still stuck at the Draft. He also was injured half of the time, especially absent during the winning streak.
Allen keeps Rockets more competitive causing them to win more games and then have to give pick to OKC.
I don't think they could tell a player, who is healthy and wants to play, to sit on the sidelines and pretend to still be injured so they can showcase the veterans for trade or tank for another high draft pick who can potentially replace them in the pecking order. I don't see the motivation for the player to go along with that. Jalen is motivated to win ROTY. Sitting out doesn't help that. If he could play and the Rockets asked him to sit out that would negatively affect their relationship, which isn't something that benefits the Rockets.
Thanks for the heads up! I’m good though. I’ll just admire from afar. That’s what’s cool about being a basketball fan, I can appreciate other players around the league.
I have no problem with your statement, thing is the Rockets are not a simple organization. They have rushed back lesser players in the past. Believe me, half of the time I do not even want to know what's in their closet. You can check news, he was doing shooting drills a while back! (ESPN)
There’s no way that Jalen is winning ROTY right now. He would have to be Kobe 2.0 to pass the guys ahead of him. And I’m sure anyone around him who’s honest would tell him that. That ship has sailed.
Defensive centers like Allen are a dime a dozen. He’s a role player like Capela. You don’t pay $25 million a year for a role player that can’t score or shoot.
They would still make a huge impact defensively, but their entire offense is relying on good point guard play.
