You can't ask him to be what he is not which is a primary ball handler/distributor. Let him be a off the ball guy/high energy defensive guy.
I don't like his release point. That shot looks to easy to block and this not easily used as a step back. His release point needs to be higher.
Agreed. If he wants to be a PG, then he's going to need to get the work with Vipers. But I'd love to see him next to KPJ with Rockets right now.
Forget his hair ..... look at his play. He's never done the little things that don't show up in the box score. He doesn't do the dirty work .... As a Rocket it started in game 1 of the summer league , Cade ate him up for a couple possessions and from there Christopher took over and put Cade on lockdown , all while the individual matchup between Cade & Green was hyped up - That matchup was won by Christopher. The entire season Green has had it on Ezmode , everyone else doing toe dirty work - boxing out , setting picks , making the extra pass , taking charges , defending guys 3/4 court .... Thing is , this is how he's been going back to early AAU ball , Guys like Brooks , Mathews , Christopher & Tate are playing every NBA minute like it might be their last , those guys are hungry to stick around , Green has never had to worry about that .... He's never been hungry & it shows.
I've mentioned this before but this is the perfect angle to see just how mechanically poor Green's shot is , regardless of where he catches the ball , his shot begins below his waist ....
It took about 4 possessions into the 2nd summer league game for me to buy in on Christopher. After Cade bullied Green a couple times he switched onto Cade and took his lunch money on consecutive possessions.
I did not see a generational talent in that draft other than Sengün perhaps but he has to become much better, on a good way though. The talents are pretty good overall though. What are generational talents though, are Jokic and Embiid generational talents? Is KAT one?
Unless Gordon is already traded we shouldn’t start green . Should have had to earn minutes in the first place and not get gifted with 30 .
I thought the same. I initially wanted Mobley over Green, but when he wouldn’t work out for us I wanted to trade down for Barnes and Sengun. Turns out we got Segun anyway at 16 instead of a top ten pick. Now we just have to make the best of what we got which I think was a great haul, especially if Green works out. If Garuba works out it still makes it one of the best draft classes for a single team I have ever seen. Even hitting on both Jaygup and Segun makes it pretty damn good draft.
This. I don't know where all the fluff pieces about his gym-rat work ethics came from, they are probably not made up, but.... he doesn't work hard on the court at all. And doesn't have the demeanor of a serious baller, which has been bothering me since media day...
Lol clutchfans forgets the 2 big lineup nightmare that cause the seasons start to be a disaster. Green’s 20 games into his career and 19, going to make everyone look foolish when he comes back
