I understand the KD and Mobley body comparison but y’all gotta be real, he’s even skinnier than that. He’s skinnier than Ralph, Zinger, AD, KD, Mobley.. he’s got the skinniest frame I’ve ever seen on a guy that size no question about it. The comparison is valid, but he is absolutely skinnier than those guys. Maybe my eyes are fooling me If we get the first pick and take him I’m not mad. I like his game. Only guy in the top 4 I have true reservations about is Paolo and his effort/defense/spacing/cramping etc etc…
I challenge anybody in Houston to name a player who is this skinny toothpick who ever averaged over 18 points a game in the NBA. Heck, he couldn’t even average 15 in that lamea$& division he was in at Gonzaga. Chet should not be a top five pick. He will fall once workouts start.
I honestly challenge anyone to name 5 players that have ever been that skinny in the NBA ever. Manute Bol? Not even Zhou Qi counts. Again I still like Chet though I think he’s a very weird case with a ton of potential
taking into account a constant crybaby on the boards who's consistently far off, I feel better about Chet every single day as the rockets pick you obviously don't follow college enough to know the Zags had one of the toughest schedules in the ncaa and still stuck on the casual lame division logic
I have so little concerns about his weight. An NBA nutrition plan will fix that quickly. Its a bit of a different story when you have 3-5 experts on body science at your disposal with personal chefs, personal trainers, etc.
He will eventually put on weight, he just needs to focus on his strength. I'd rather him stay lean than bulk up and get injured.
Adding weight is how you break bones. Stay lean while focusing on core strength and explosiveness/quickness.
Maybe, but you can’t teach height, length, and instincts. Chet has all those at absurd levels. In no universe does he not go top 5.
Nah he needs to be on a peanut butter and beer diet. That will put the weight on the man AND he'll enjoy it.
The more I watch Mark Williams the more I like him at the 17th pick if available to pair up in the paint with Holmgren. What does an Early 2nd Rd Pick usually cost? If we could pick up Holmgen / Williams / Braun the Rockets might just have an equally as epic haul as in 2021. P.G. - Kevin Porter Jr. / Daishen Nix S.G. - Jalen Green / Josh Christopher / Christian Braun S.F. - Christian Wood / Kenyon Martin Jr. / Garrison Mathews P.F. - Chet Holmgren / Jae'Sean Tate / Usman Garuba ..C - Alperen Sengun / Mark Williams
Chet has been on the NBA radar for a couple of years and he just played a year at a D1 program... This isn't a Giannis situation. He would already have had access top level strength/nutrition. Chet is 20 next week I think? He is completely unique. Compare Giannis at 18 vs 20. Hell Giannis was still growing at that age.
