Great first showing my Meyers so far at the ML. He was playing well in the minors, and he's continued playing well at the ML level.

Only thing is that the control of a MLB pitcher is so, that they can shatter a young hitters confidence, if they don't have the tools to make the necessary adjustments. So after a couple a more AB, the coaches will develop the game plan so that the pitchers can nullify Meyers.

The staying power at the ML level is based on hitters making adjustments quickly. Because coaches exploit a weakness in the swing and will send out the pitchers to execute the game plan to a “T”…

Brett Wallace was the guy I thought was going to be a star, but he was too slow to make the proper adjustments. I even followed him while he went to the Padres, but to no avail, he’d start real good, and taper down to a crawl after a few weeks.

I really like Jake Meyers and hope he is successful.
As we have seen in the past it's no sure thing though.
My only issue with all of this is having rookies in the post season.
I feel much more comfortable with players that have some experience.

true. But he was still a disappointment as a player. Getting Hampton was fantastic though.

Ward doesn’t deserve to be grouped with those others. He had a successful career in the bigs.

Ensberg fell off pretty fast before we traded him.

Ward had a negative career WAR but i guess out of those guys he might be considered the best.

Anthony was Yordan sized, not fat.

Schilling was a total ******* as a kid, he admitted it, he said getting traded was the best thing that ever happened to him

Top 10 college pitcher in history.

He didn't do it in the pros, just like many others.

Not sure about this, I'm going to get some verification from my 80's Sharpstown peeps.

Not saying I don't believe it.
