Right now this team has 5 players who have a legit shot at making the Pro Bowl. Carr,Johnson,Sharper,Wong,Coleman.

I'm with you Nick. All I hear from sports analysts is the Texans are on track... blah, blah, blah, ...but then they are drooling over the Jags, their Defense, and Leftwitch.

Tonight I better hear them kissing Carr's butt and saying that our defense is better than they thought... c'mon our D held them to 39 yds rushing!!!

Great game Texans! Great Game Carr! Great Game Houston-D! And AWSOME Pick Faggins!!!

    Woo hoo Texans are 4-3!

    :D :D :D

Wong in particular has really impressed me this season. He's been much better than previous years. Sharper has been his usual self, he just never gets much national recognition for it.

Wong, Babin and Sharper are beasts in the 3-4... not only in real-life, but on Madden especially.

In my franchise, i'm runnin the 3-4 with expertise... I really have a new-found appreciation for the defense after playin it on the game.

But, in real-life, expect this defense to pick up their weight as the season goes on.

Both of Wong's Ints this season have been amazing. Sharper is having another great season and he should get alot of Pro Bowl votes because he is finally making big plays (FF,fum rec, sacks) I was hoping Dunta could sneak and get the D.R.O.Y. but that might be stretching it.

I was at the game today. Thanks to that damn sun, my face is now a lovely battle red to match my jersey. It looks a bit like this:  I hate sunburn. Freakin' 95 degrees on the last day of October?!?! WTF??

    Some observations..

-The Texans Cheerleaders are REALLY hot. All of them.

-The 3-4 defense is finally starting to do what it's supposed to do...reak havoc.

-Those guys are a lot bigger than they look on TV.

-Reliant is smaller than it looks on TV. At least from the inside. The fans are right on top of the action.

-Texan tailgaters are OUT OF CONTROL. There are some crazy people out there. They were giving us more beer than we could drink. I haven't been to an NFL game since the Oilers left and I've never seen anything like that. Amazing atmosphere.

Had a blast today despite the massive sunburn. As we were leaving the field after the game, we passed by the walkway leading to the Texan locker room just as they were all coming in. Dunta Robinson was VERY happy. He gave us all high-fives and even stopped to talk to us for a minute. I got high-fives from Jay Foreman, Zach Wiegert, Jamie Sharper, and even the man of the hour Demarcus Faggins who said we sounded great. :D I tried to get Steve McKinney's attention by yelling that he had a "totally sweet" game but he just looked pissed off. Of course he always looks like that.

Oh yeah, did I mention that the Cheerleaders are all REALLY hot?

This team will only get better as we hone the Stanley/Brown option play to Old School Nebraska proportions.

Typical ESPN showed about 15 seconds of the game then went into Gaff's fumble, and started showing pre-mature celebrations. This city gets no attention. They talk up the Jags for weeks then they get beat and its no big deal, pretty much no respect, still, for the Texans. ESPN makes me want to puke somtimes.

That pissed me the f*ck off. I set my computer to record the Texans part of Sportscenter. We get a total of 2 plays, one of which was the Gaffney fumble. At least they showed the INT (I think anyway)

That "I think I'm gonna puke" premature celebration had me laughing my ass off though.

Anyway, what a game. I usually drink tons of water before going to the game, but forgot to take my water bottle today. Didn't think it'd be too hot, considering it's the freaking end of OCTOBER. But anyway...I'm sitting there about to pass out before the game starts. Then people start coming in...filling in the seats...game starts...and I was back to normal. The Adrenaline rush you get from the crowd is undeniable. As soon as I got off of work, I crawled to my car...drank my water that I had left in the car (which was about 200 degrees) and didn't even care that it was that hot. I got home, watched the halftime show of the Pats/Pitt game, and then passed out. Woke up about 9:30 to watch the end of the Niners/Bears game.

Note to self: Drink plenty of water before ANY texans game...do not expect weather to cooperate.

Texans' dirty tricks pull Jaguars down

    By MIKE FREEMAN, Times-Union columnist

HOUSTON--There was a play toward the end of the Jaguars' game today, a game the team will try to wipe clean from its memory banks, which epitomized the kind of afternoon it was. Houston's Chad Stanley was the benefactor of a fake punt, and as he ran, 300-pound defensive tackle John Henderson gave chase, but something stopped him from making the tackle.

It was the hand of Houston long snapper Bryan Pittman, which was wrapped around Henderson's throat, according to the Jaguars.

Yeah. That might slow someone down.

The officials did not see what basically amounted to, if true, Pittman attempting to choke Henderson, and when one of the Jaguars retaliated against Pittman after the play's conclusion by shoving him, Pittman fell back in an exaggerated manner, going to the ground as if he had been shot. The refs saw Pittman get pushed, and penalized the Jaguars for a personal foul.

The Jaguars were involved in a number of scuffles, including a massive shoving match at the end of the game on the Jaguars sidelines. They were penalized a season-high 11 times for 80 yards. "This game was not one of our better moments," said tight end Kyle Brady

Some half-dozen Jaguars players said in interviews that the Texans were utilizing some of the dirtiest tricks in the book. Questionable low blocking. Kicking in the groin (hate when that happens). Throwing punches when the official wasn't looking. And perhaps the most egregious foul of all, they said, was that Houston players at times put on some of the worst acting jobs since William Shatner played Captain Kirk. In other words, the Texans played like devils, and then when the refs awoke from their catnaps to see what a scuffle was about, the Houston players shrugged and made like angels. "Who," they would say innocently, "little old me?"

    That's all true.

    Here's the problem.

When the dirty stuff happens, no matter how egregious, a player really has only one choice.

"You have to walk away," said Stroud, "and we didn't do that. The stuff [the Texans] were doing was crazy. They would pull some questionable stuff, and we would get called for the penalty."

    The Jaguars lost their cool.

    Then they lost the game.

The reason why? The utter disgust the Jaguars felt at being unable to change their predicament. They could not shake loose the Texans, so the Jaguars let go of their inhibitions, going ballistic, and taking out their frustrations on Houston with shoves and jawing instead of first downs and defensive stops.

"I believe that if you are going to compete in these close games," said coach Jack Del Rio, "you have to understand that everything is not going to go your way … You have to fight through the mental part of it and not allow yourself to get frustrated."

The Jaguars are one of the more emotional teams in football. They feed off of that passion; it is one of the biggest reasons why they have come back from so many deep deficits. Usually, they express their emotions the proper way, at the proper time. This time, they played with a kind of unchecked rage, which is required if you are an extra on the set of Braveheart, but not something a smart football player should do, and most of the time, the Jaguars play smart. Just not today.

"You won't see that again," said Stroud. "Ever."

    Please...

What about last year when Jack Del Rio told his special teams guy to level JJ Moses after he called for a fair catch because JJ had been tearing them apart for the whole game. Cameras showed Del Rio patting the guy on the helmet after the play.

I guess they can dish it but they can't take it.

According to ESPN.com, Leftwich tore a knee ligament in Sunday's game and is on the shelf for 6-8 weeks.
