Obrien will have to answer to this what statement does he make as far as the players smoking weed. In my SAS voice stay off the wwwweeeedddaaahhh.
I'm so tired of the character assassination around athletes who smoke. The man has his mugshot all over the internet and people looking for and talking about "issues" that were always there. All for what?? Something harmless that the majority of the NFL does. And clowns like you and BTG and thousands of real idiots around the country will make up their minds that he is uniquely dumb. At least have the balls to say that EVERYONE who smokes is an idiot and deserves all the **** coming Strong's way.
I always enjoy it when people who write horribly stupid comments end up being the people who try and call me out. It just reinforces the notion that people who would do so are window lickers. As to the content of this nonsense, if you have a career that makes you a 1%er and you would risk that over the desire to break the law, then you are an idiot. Not only is smoking weed illegal where he was, it's also against the rules in the NFL. When you are caught with weed, or you pop a drug test, then you end up in the NFL's substance abuse protocol for the rest of the time you are in the league. Careers have been destroyed over this kind of thing. If you aren't bright enough to realize that a player risking their career over something as ridiculous as smoking weed is a foolish action then.....well, damn.

Maybe Cory Coleman is there in rd 2. Strong has the talent just needs to grow up. Don't blow your career for some freaking weed
The "character assassination" is for athletes (and people in general) who do something we all know is against the law and get caught. You can argue if it should be legal or not but while it is illegal, you should avoid it (or at least avoid getting caught).
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Per Scottsdale police Jaelen Strong was not charged. Just arrested and released, pending charges if prosecutors want to pursue. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Texans?src=hash">#Texans</a></p>— Tania Ganguli (@taniaganguli) <a href="https://twitter.com/taniaganguli/status/704422615541293057">February 29, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Its not even just that it is against the law, it's against their own rational self interest. Even if he was in Colorado where it is legal it would still violate the NFL's substance abuse policy and the first time you do that, you are in the protocol for the rest of your career which means increased scrutiny that will never end.

I don't know what scenario you're imagining... It wasn't some sting operation to catch the kingpin in the midst of buying 3 blunts.
