Ainge had opportunities to trade for Butler and/or George and he over played his hand. Star players don't become available very often. Everyone is kissing Ainge's butt over signing Hayward, but he has also screwed up several times just this June/July. Also the players he has that he values; most will be free agents soon. He has no superstar either.
except the Rockets had to clear 20 million in capspace and they would have to trade a 1st anyway at the very least to get rid of Anderson. While the Celtics only need to clear like 5 million.
Exactly. It all looks great now, until next season when Smart is paid 15 million Bradley is paid 20 million and IT is paid 25+.
sorry but are you drunk or just don't get it? Boston does not have a huge bad contract like Anderson. They dont' have to attach assets to trade Crowder. They can get back assets for him. As they will.

you seem not to be familiar with the nba rules of free agency. Is that what happens in the NFL and why you confuse it? Who cares what Utah wants? There is no compensation for losing your free agents to another team. None. Which btw is another proof that this sign and trade won't happen. If most utah fans have same knowledge of the rules it will look horrible to have also to trade a 1st for Crowder.

Your house is already cleared and empty. Now it's up to you if you want to make a trade with the robber to get something useful back that benefits both or just leave empty handed with nothing. The robber can go to other ppl who are lining up outside his door, and make same trades and receive what he wants. He doesn't need you. He only came to you first because he was in the area after robbing you and it would be more convinient and time saving. Teams that are wise look for the next day and don't let emotions get to them. You have to go back to your empty house and live there tomorrow. Go back completely empty handed or at least have something that you need. I hope that explains it. lol

I only started this exchange with you because I was under the impression that you were suggesting that Utah needs to offer a first round pick to get crowder which I think is crazy. I completely understand the value of getting some value on a free agent you are about to lose, but If Im Utah Im not giving up anything else and they should counter bos offer with crowder and at least a 2nd round pick.
