How can you forget SAMMO HUNG!! <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/JpVFE7tkVdw?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/JpVFE7tkVdw?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
Jet Li, mainly because my first dip into martial arts growing up was the Once upon a time in China series. And to this day that is the series that to me epitomizes wuxia films. If I take out my bias, I'd have to go with Jackie Chan. Definitely the widest range and most successful of all the actors. It's pretty amazing to see his transformation over decades.
That looks like the prequel to Black Mask. I agree though that Donnie is the "it" guy of Hong Kong martial arts movies. What's interesting is that he is the same age as Jet Li but looks so much more athletic now.
If you think Jet Li can't act you should see The Warlords <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/NOr8Dj1PxJg?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/NOr8Dj1PxJg?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object> He also does a pretty job in Fearless While I am looking up trailers here is the one for the upcoming Andy Lau Shaolin Temple. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Ln4evhh0RMI?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Ln4evhh0RMI?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
Jet's younger days. A documentary made in the early 80s. <embed src="http://player.youku.com/player.php/sid/XNDk0NjgzNDA=/v.swf" quality="high" width="480" height="400" align="middle" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"></embed>
huh??? are you talking about Jet Li??? Since when does Jet Li have a Taiwanese accent? OR are you talking about Takeshi?
Jet Li looked so old and out of shape in The Expendables. In the movie cedits he had squad of stunt doubles. Judging from how his action scenes were edited I don't think he can do the stunt work anymore.
Johnny Yune <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/w_5SewLKin4?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/w_5SewLKin4?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
The list goes something like this: 1) Jet Li 2) Donnie Yen 3) Jackie Chan For some reason I never liked Jackie Chan movies much. Even his old stuff from when he was young. Like that drunken master stuff he did decades ago. Jet Li's Wong Fei Hong roles are probably the best in the history of Hong Kong action movies. evar. They all share one thing in common though, they don't really translate much into Hollywood.
