Since we're pulling names out of a hat here, I want Arvydas Sabonis to coach Yao

 

I think that Michael Jordan would be a better teacher for T-Mac than Larry Bird.

 

So true. Yao will have 2 years left on his current contract extension and posters will still be trying to create some mythical mentoring to improve him.

Hakeem did pretty will under Terry Kirkpatrick at UH and Carroll Dawson as a Rocket. For some reason, posters seem to think success as a player translates into a success as a coach. That combination is in reality very rare.

 

I want Dominique Wilkins to teach Yao how to do the Windmill dunk!
