To me it’s simple. Either we think Jabari will develop into an elite shooter or we should trade him. He’s not worth investing in if we don’t think he’ll get to high 30s% efficiency from long range because he can’t dribble. That puts him into more of a role player category. But if he can get to elite shooting he’s worth holding onto long term because of his 2-way play, size and versatility. But I don’t see the instincts, handles are hard to develop, he’s not a good passer, and he’s not a fast processor. He is a hard worker. They need to get the Bari evaluation right so we know what to do with him this offseason. We now have 3 seasons of data. I still think there’s a lot of upside but the ceiling is much lower than most of us expected when he was drafted. I’d probably extend him in the low-mid $20s.

Im confused by Jabari’s role and the way people talk about him.

maybe he won’t be a star like how people expected when he first got here. Seems he also has confidence issues.

I feel even if he dosent reach star status. He can still be a very great role player.

Can shoot, play defense and rebound.

Seems like a perfect fit for a contending team, why wouldn’t we want someone like that, especially since he won’t cost as much as Sengun, Green or amen.

if he continues his to play to his strengths and gets confidence, his contract become a BIG steal

    what do y’all think

Dribbling drills and counters when help defense tries to attack his dribble. I think he should have gotten more time than he did in this series but every time he put the ball on the floor felt like it was a turnover.
