Tari should eventually find himself as a starting wing. KPJ/Jalen/Tari/Jabari/Sengun is who should be seeing the brunt of the starters minutes IMO. I could make a case for Ego in there if winning some games is important, but those 5 should be the ones growing together and understanding how to maximize each other on the court.
Like many aging vets - they are victims of their own contracts. The path out of Houston at his contract value is for Houston to eat more long term negative contract value in return or give up assets - neither of which the team wants to do at this point.
Yeah - Smith also contest a lot of shots on the perimeter that Alpi simply can’t get to in time so the aggregate value of defensed shots in that time frame is higher. you can prove that by seeing where Sengun picks up fouls - it’s mostly under the hoop when people have already beat him to the spot. He generally isn’t even getting out to perimeter close enough to foul out there.

I wasn't watching the game, and I only saw a 10 second clip, but this seems like much ado about nothing. Though I love the typical clutchfans overreaction. We're now calling Jabari a diva. Why? Once again, these kids are 18-20 years old, thrust into a crazy world full of money and any opportunity they want. They have tons of pressure on them. I'd rather see things get heated a bit. It means they care.
