Bari needs a fresh start somewhere else. We’ve got 7 guys age 22 or younger. It’s time to make some decisions before we tank the value of our high lotto prospects. Get a deal done to help this team.

can we all agree that you can’t develop 7 super young prospects at the same time and expect to make the playoffs?

I've been saying since before the season there will be at least two "losers" among the young players. I suspected Jabari and Cam would be the two.

Jabari seems to be a lock right now. There is still hope for Cam.

10 games in. He gets hot for 3 or 4 games and the whole narrative changes. Both Sengun, Green, and Jabari have underperformed the first 10 games. Dillon, Tari, and Amen have outperformed the first ten games. Knee jerk reactions are common to fans, especially of re-building teams which we still are.

If he finishes the year behind Sarr they need to waive him outright

On this board, I tried to tell those who would listen that he's not a fluid basketball player and he wasn't a good shooter. Good shooters don't shoot 40% from the floor in college. Sheppard is a good shooter, I don't have those concerns for him. Not to meantiom, he's an average foot athlete at 6'11. He's also not an instinctual player within the game. If you're not actively running sets designed for him, you're not gonna get good, consistent production from him.

It's not easy! I complain too, why Sengun does not take more 3pt shots or play better defense or why Jalen and Jabari are not making their shots but at the same time, I know the difficulties they go through just to get on that court and to be able to play.

People expect them to be consistent EVERY night....ROBOTS!

You are right. He is not a fluid basketball player. He has been an average shooter. All we need is for Jabari to hit his 3’s at a 36-38% clip, which he showed last year he is capable of, and continue to rebound and play good defense. That is what his role is on this team. If he can’t play that role then he needs to be moved. I think at age 21 and another full year after this one before he hits RFA, we can afford to be patient. We will not be a contender this year. Keep developing the core.

jabari has been ass this season for sure.. third year and regressing is not a good sign (just look at jalen last season and see where he is at today). basically you are what you show in your third season for the most part.

what bothers me is when you look at jabari's college tape.. he was much more fluid in his shooting motion and had much better form and arc on his shot. his feet didn't drift so much and he was better at squaring up when shooting in college. now? he is flat footed, barely any knee bend, no arc, flat shot, rushed motion.. there is even a hitch in his shooting motion now... and then look at his feet when he shoots.. it drifts so much.. the balance in his shot is gone. seems like he worked with trainers to get his shooting motion quicker.. but came at the expense of what we thought was picture perfect form in college... and this makes no sense bc at his height, why even bother with speeding up his shooting motion? no one is blocking that shot anyhow... sad times

If a college coach can develop freshman and take them to the NCAA Championship, Ime can develop 7 players in the course of a 3-5 yr span and take them to the Finals. OKC went to the finals in 2012 with a young KD, Harden, Westbrook and Ibaka and an overall roster younger than ours.

KD at the time was an up and coming star. Same for Westbrook but he was a turnover machine, Harden was an explosive 6th man off the bench, and Ibaka.

I’m disappointed in Jabari this year. I had high hopes, he would take another step up. I think he concentrated on the wrong things in the off-season. He should have put on a ton of muscle and continued to work almost exclusively on 3 pt shooting. His role is supposed to be 3+D and instead he was trying to make himself into Durant lite, which he will never be. I’m just not going to give up on him 10 games in. If he is still playing like this by the second half then it’s time to think about benching him.

The Fugees had 2 game changing albums. They had this 12 yr old Central American asking his only black friend "What is a Buffalo Soldier, mayne?" He broke it down to me.
You know what happened to The Fugees? They were pulled away by others telling them they were great. So they all went their separate ways. Through the years they alway shouted out "Refugee Camp" in their own projects but it was never the same. They robbed 2 decades worth of music from the fans. They finally get together in the 2020s. Ain't nobody want to hear 50yr old Fugees.

I say all that to say this. It's difficult to keep everyone happy. And the league purposely makes it harder to keep everyone. The game is rigged.

I don't mean to disrespect but as I said it before, they need to give him the title of Soft Forward. If he heard that I can guarantee he would blow up and become a good player over night. He's got that edge he just needs to be pushed.

Actually, what he really needs is the Robert Horry treatment. This time, string a team along and get it in the papers that they are trading him and then pull back. Tell him he was good as gone but it fell through. See how he responds. If no change, trade him for real.

He is not a fluid player. But to say that he is not a good shooter is simply wrong. Bad shooters don't shoot 42% from 3 in college and 36% in NBA.

Listen to trade offers for him. I doubt any will be that good. If in the almost two full seasons before free agency, he has not progressed much we can resign him for some modest amount. He will have a long career as a backup and possibly spot starter 5th on a contending team.
