Well, yeah, it looked like he could at least shoot in College, and got the entry passing a lot. He does not have handles, but I think people think in order to create your shots you got to have handles. Not necessarily..... Overall we got duped and cheated on.....that dude was never a Number 3 pick. KD, KG.....whatever he thought he was, is not important.
I still think Jabari will be fine. I know he's stinking it up really badly right now, but I think he's got some tools to work with, you can't teach height, and his switchability as he gets stronger is going to make him so valuable. I don't think he'll be a star, and that's kind of sad, but it seems like our 3rd overall picks can be really nice players on a contender, hopefully with us.
As a lifelong shot choker, I feel so bad for this guy. I know how it feels, worrying that the ball will come to you and you'll **** it up. OTOH, I'm not a #3 pick with a $40 million contract. He really is doing what Udoka asks, in terms of defense and rebounding. Everything a bricklayer can do to redeem himself and take the pressure off his shooting. But he needs some kind of hypnotherapy to silence his overthinking.
People need to be patient with Jabari. He isn't like other prospects that you can just get whenever. 6-11 dudes that can shoot are some of the rarest in the league. Having him develop into a "small ball 5" that can defend and hit 40% of his shots would make us a title contender. Unlike some other starters we have that we can go find on the store shelf (i.e. the other three), Jabari (and Sengun) we straight up cant.
This man never recovered from not being the 1st overall pick. He should be happy he didn't go first overall
Same dude, I was so ready for Paolo to be a Rocket. Even Paolo wanted to be a Rocket Just glad Tari dropped to us at 17 that year
Look at that beautiful shot arc. Now he just throws ot pretty straight. Something happened to his shooting mechanics and needs to be fixed asap
