Dude! I was just about to post this. Glad I didn't because your post is better than mine would have been. I don't like Jabari's form--too rigid and lacks fluidity. I can't believe his coaches haven't helped improve the arc on his shot. Jalen's gotten a lot of flak but his has improved his shooting form every season--even over the course of each season. Now it looks effortless for him, and I have to say I didn't think he could improve his shooting form this quickly because it's very rare for players to do so.
I'd trade for Jimmy. I don't know about you guys but the wait for these guys to eventually become great is becoming exhausting. Dillon Brooks Jeff Green Jabari If Miami is so desperate to get off Jimmy and it looks like they are, we don't even need to throw in a pick. Maybe they're delusional enough to think Jabari has potential Fred Jalen Jimmy Tari Sengun Yea the spacing sucks but what difference does it make when Jabari can't hit **** anyways.
I really don't understand the arc thing. Didn't we just build a new fancy training center with some fancy shot tracking **** that lets them know the perfect angles and arc etc? The **** is Bari doing in practise? Needs to focus more on his shot and less on his ink.
Even though we had no chance at Paulo and Chet, I'll never forgive the Magic for letting us believe we were getting Paulo. I thought we had it made...
Everytime I see Chet, Paolo or Keegan Murray play well, it really grinds my gears. And then to miss out on Wemby to Spurs out of all teams, I swear the league must be rigged or this team is just cursed.
Nah. Jimmy wont make this team a champion and he is always injured anyway. Jimmy also plays like a scrub in the regular season so its funny to see you "get exhausted" 3 games in.
Keegan Murray? LOL. You realize Jabari still younger than Murray his rookie year? WTF. Chet and Paolo never had a chance to get. Pretty sure Stone had Chet no 1.
Yeah you COMPLETELY missed the point. Thanks for stating the obvious though, I never would have got it without you pointing that out for me, you're so kind...
I've been on this train too but it's getting concerning with Bari. Keegan has higher BBIQ and his imprint on the game is just felt more. He's in a tier far beyond where Jabari is right now.
Jabari sucks at shooting. If he was good at shooting he would be a good player. Still thinks he gives you solid defense if he isn't playing well which is valuable. But man, what many considered his greatest strength feels to not even be average.
I hope someone is telling him to put more arc on his shot. You could hang a wash on that thing man. Is he aware of how flat his shot looks?
Giddey, a lottery pick, was given all the opportunites in the world. The rest of the guys were not lottery picks and were what mid to late first round picks at best? I get your point, but your example is not exactly apples to apples. For the record, I don't think Bari would excel in a larger role, but for the most part, the other Rocket lottery picks have been given more of an opportunity for reps, including Amen who is an extremly flawed and incomplete offensive player. Rockets have experimented with different roles within the offense for Amen, such as a role guy, at the point, at the dunker spot and in the corner. However, I think Bari is extremly limited in the role he can play on offense, but would like to see more plays called for him or actions that involve him. We have to see what we have with him even if there is not much more he can offer.
