Yeah it gets a little silly sometimes. If Jabari took more shots most of the board would be raging that he was messing up the offense.

He's a guy that is selfless, came here sacrificing his own growth to grow with a team, has no off the court issues, apparently works hard on his game, and all people do here is trash him.

People are also wrong thinking we have a better 4 on the team than him. Like, who? Who is this magical four man we are hiding that is switchable, 6'11, and can stretch the floor and run the floor? People that want to trade him, entertain that idea that's fair, but who on the team is better at 4 than him? Let's go with ACTUAL PFs and not SFs we hope can play PF.

If Bari becomes a glue guy who averages an efficient 12 - 15 ppg on solid shooting with good rebounding and plus defense, why are people upset about that? I don't get it. That's what Aaron Gordon does. What Jrue Holiday does. What OG does. What Brook Lopez does. Those kinda guys are absolutely critical to contending teams. There's only one ball, and you need guys who will accept other roles. Not to mention that type of player still makes a ton of money.

It's the "if" part that has people all in a tizzy right now.

Not that they're the same player at all, but if his contributions are Horry-esque I think everyone would be quite happy.

That is a fair take as any, I would also reserve my judgment after the ASB which is a long time from now......

As said before, we should use this year to identify who should get the bag of money, and who should not.....

Playoffs are cool but should be put 2nd.

    I mean, I guess. At 25 — Horry’s best offensive season — he averaged 12 points and 6 rebounds while shooting .36 from 3 with a .53 TS%. Bari averaged 14/8 on .57 TS% shooting .36 from 3 last season at 20 yrs old.

Feeling more every day like that time we wanted Ariza to be our superstar and he just kinda wasn't.

I find it odd that we're throwing out names of career journeymen as a comparison. It's ok to be disappointed and all but yall know damn well , yall would lose your mfing minds if Bari turned out to be a rotational piece during his prime years.. I'm not disappointed because I didn't want him in the 1st place but I can see substantial value in him if he maintains his current pace of production. Aint his fault some of you mixtape warriors called him Durant 2.0 lmao..

He has a good touch shooting, but he is not quick enough to play in an all switching lineup.

If he bulks out he would be great as a backup 3pt shooting center.....

But I fear his lack of lateral quickness and his lack of moving off the ball to create a shot, makes him a role player at best...

The only weak spots in our lineup are Smith and Brooks. Both are fine as backups and would be good in that role….just think we could do better with thompson or Eason at SF. We should trade jabrari for a better PF.

I don’t agree that Bari should be traded, but I agree Amen should start over Brooks. I’m not as high on Eason as some — his TS% is terrible.

Brooks isnt a weak spot. If the Rockets were to make him available , he’d be a tradeable wanted commodity by a lot of gm’s. We jsut want the young core to take over the starting lineup.

I agree that of the two, would rather keep Bari in starting lineup. Brooks is an excellent backup, but 100% agree on starting Amen. He’s a better defender and more active on offense. He’s a double double machine.

I think you give Bari yr 3 to prove what he is. I don’t like what I’ve seen through two preseason games, but it’s just two preseason games. If he doesn’t take another big leap this year concern is warranted, but the season hasn’t started.

Tari offers zero on offense. You don't even have to respect him like Jabari. And he's like Dillon and Jalen. If he puts it on the floor then you're having a good defensive possession.

I didn’t watch the entire game last night. My problems early in the game, as much of last year is just Brooks taking too many shots. He needs to shoot less, and he needs to put in less effort in creating offense for himself.

I think if you are going to commit to starting Smith, you really have to Have a small Forward who is more effective at penetrating and creating. I think that amen is perfect for this role.

he made 3 of 5 behind the arc for 60% and all of them are wide open catch and shoot not sure what he could have done better/instead

2 weeks ago ppl still made Lamarcus Aldridge comparisons.

Now they are fine with Thaddeus Young, Channing Frye, Eddie Griffin contribution.

Jumping to conclusions is never smart after two preseason games, but it makes sense that people are skeptic about his abilities. He has plenty of time to show what he’s capable of and grow into a Lamarcus type of player.
