I think Jalen Green just does not fit in offensively with Sengun, I really want Jalen Green to figure out how to thrive next to Sengun, but those two do not seem to compliment each other. But I agree that Sengun, Jabari, and Thompson compliment each other wonderfully. I’m hoping that Reed can get his footing to be able to run next to Amen as the running mate at guard.
I would think with all his speed and hops JG can attack and cut to the rim as much/good as Amen in traffic
he’s shorter, not as strong, and gets way more defensive attention than Amen our spacing and pick setting sucks outside of Adams which is when JG drives go up dramatically
but spacing and pick setting is still the same when Amen drives so the difference based on what you said is he's shorter and not as strong
My first choice is that Jalen Green and the Rockets can make it work. He is a spectacular talent, but to me, it seems that Green plays best when Sengun is not on the floor. But I think there is still time for all parties involved to fix this. Afterall, Green and Sengun both improved their defensive metrics by leaps and bounds, when most of us thought they’d be lost causes on defense for their careers. One year of Ime, and now Green and Sengun are in the top 10 of DWS in the league.
Yes. Thats why Jalen is still the better on ball driver despite being smaller and weaker than Amen. On a fast break Amen is superior cuz he is like a bull he will either dunk that ball or get fouled. But if the defense is set JG is actually superior cuz teams cant zone him, meanwhile Amen is getting the Ben Simmons treatment RN.
first not sure you can define some from shooting beyond the arc at a career 33% clip a "three point shooter" so team's can't zone jalen you mean they come out to the three point line. so why can't he drive by them instead of taking threes?
Jabari is playing great, and this is without us giving him the ball enough, in my opinion! But his confidence is back, his swagger is back, and he’s gotten a ton of highlight blocks these last few games.
this is what I like about Jabari and analysis regarding him simply no excuses and blame game and he knows what he can do to help the team not just himself he shoots bad at the beginning of the season, it's simply on him no blaming on Alpi, Ime, other teammates, or having to play defense he worked hard to fix it and improve and right now he's shooting good again. the less threes our backcourt shoots and more threes he shoots the better
Ime is too head strong, riding Berry for 30 games is the way to go to keep things flowing and injury free. Has to plan ahead. 11.6 ppg is the least he has averaged.
By the same token, after one year of Ime , and both regressed in Offensive efficiency. Okay JG was never that great in that department to begin with.
Green can't finish as well as Amen. If he could he wouldn't be near the problem he is now even with his poor 3 pt shooting.
Frodo! Harry Potter! If only. What spell or ring can I put on Jabari to make him take on his defender instead of dumping off the ball the second he's challenged
