Jabari Smith is being quietly very effective and efficient. he is the type of winning player that propels good teams to championship levels.
He just needs to get stronger. It's cool he's doing Yoga to maintain flexibility but I need him training with the Texans next offseason.
He hasn't have a game where he has taken over but man been consistently been putting solid points, rebounds and defensive effort. Who knows he might take it to the next level further down his career, he still young
Udoka/Splitter/Brooks/FVV are going to take his defense to another level this season. 3pt shot showing signs of stability. That's all we need from him right now. Keep improving gradually in those two areas. He's the perfect complimentary scorer to Sengun and Green. Does most of his damage from off ball. He will take a little longer to develop but so critical to our future.
Despite the loss I continue to be impressed with Jabari. The shooting, the decisiveness, the rebounding, the defense, it's all improved. And his efficiency is incredible so far this season too, over 50% from the floor and almost 40% from 3, and he's over 60% TS. It's all been great to see.
Needs more shots and needs to stay in game vs coming out for Tate and Eason .. he hits a turnaround and then sits while we struggle to score … more of Brooks shots need to go Bari way in post
Jabari endured a lot of criticism last season and even early into this one. But most of us were willing to give him time to grow into his body and keep on developing his skills. We're being rewarded right now, and this is just the start for him.
Jabari has been excellent for most of this season. Great defense, efficient offense, and the 3 ball is falling. He’s exactly what we need next to Sengun.
Glad to see 2 of our 3 franchise players are on track. I'd love to see him develop a couple post moves to get closer to the basket to get shots. Only thing that bothers me is he needs to punish smaller players like Irving tonight
My favorite development with Jabari is the strong weakside help, be it rebounds or shot contests. Whenever Udoka talks about Jabari, he always mentions that Jabari is "slight" and that he needs to embrace the physicality of the game. Feels like we are trending in the right direction. (More three balls please!)
I am starting to see the shades of Garnett in him, finally. This is so exciting, plus outside shooting. Cant wait for this to happen.
Patience and let ime coach him to his potential. If we had one of our knee jerkers as the gm, Smith would have been long gone due to silas incompetence and headh honcho. Glad ime is our coach
The consistency is there now. He is growing and I'm very happy about that. I think we need to start finding different ways for Jabari to score and to keep him moving without the ball. That's one thing I'm a little frustrated about, there isn't a ton of off the ball movement. There is plenty of ball movement and a very healthy dose of P&R, but still need more off the ball movement, otherwise I'm sure Sengun's assist numbers would be even higher.
Jabari had a good game and is coming along nicely. He is finally starting to look like he may be worth the spot he was drafted.
