That second half was special. This Jabari could be the guy who finishes close games. He was getting buckets, drawing fouls, and being clutch as hell on both ends of the court. Not gonna pretend like that first half didn't have me a bit worried but that second half was redemption, hopefully his second season will be in the same vein.

I agree, I have followed him pre NBA and he flashed loads of talent. He had a disappointing first part to last season. Sort of a mirror of last night's summer league game. He is almost seven feet tall, relatively well coordinated, had a sweet shot in college, and has quick hands. Big men tend to develop slower in the NBA. After the SA game, looks like WB (stickman) has some work to do. Jabari does too.

Am I the only one who thinks Oldman is one of the great character actors ever. I remember all his performances; that must mean something.

Yeah, I am sure most people don‘t realize, that he is younger than Sengun and Amen. If I don‘t forget anyone he is the second youngest guy on the team (with Cam being the youngest).

I don‘t think he will ever be an elite shot creator. But if he gets his shot back and starts to feel more comfortable on the court, he should be at least a great 3 & D player that can also drive to the basket and take shots of the dribble. All while being able to defend most players (except for the quickest guards and strongest centers).

I've really settled into expecting his career trajectory to place him as kind of that elite roleplayer type who is so good at doing his job that he makes multiple all-star games during his prime. He'll be good enough to be a second option on a playoff team, but his ideal role will be as a third option or as #2A/#2B alongside another equally-important secondary scorer.

Just my take on him. He clearly thrives in big moments so I think he could still potentially become a Rockets legend even if he isn't a guy you build around as your primary superstar.

    That 2nd half was amazing.

Can't wait to see if he can keep it going tonight.

Starting in the 1st half. :D

Maybe he'll end up a good "role player".

    Priceless

Jabari was my no 1 pick lat year for a reason. 6'10 2 way spacers are rare AF.

You can also see here how toxic CF is, the board as a whole makes mountains out of molehills and didn't cut the 19 yr old any slack. I've read all sorts of slander on this dude that didn't make any sense like how he was unathletic, had bad defense and a role player just cuz he yelled at Sengun on the court. You'd think he was an undrafted player instead of consensus top 3.
