Sometimes we just have to accept a player just isn’t that good and will never be that good…NOTHING impresses me about Jabari, nothing did pre-draft and nothing does now…
Love it, thanks for that. Would not have found that on my own. Bari is a step or two slower in those moves and not as smooth but there is a bit of an age/exp difference.
And don't forget effort. I think it's safe to say that he'll never be as automatic at these moves as Durant, but I love that he's working to add these skills to his repetoire. He really does seem to have the work ethic to go from being good to great.
I think he wants to be great and hes got time. Let's see how he improves this coming year. Seems like a good kid, easy to root for.
I can't lie, this gets me excited. I am curious to see Jabari deployed more often as a SF, too. I still believe in Jabari+Alperen as a front-court combination... Mix Tari and Amen in there and we are going to make things painful...
KD 2.0 confirmed. Seriously, he has the shooting touch. I'm not worried about his shooting. His handles and moves might never be silky smooth. But he doesn't have to. What he needs is loosen up in game. Let his instinct take over.
You can tell how much more naturally gifted Durant is than Smith in handling the ball and his rhythm. One thing that I did catch was that Jabari was pretty much eye to eye with Durant. Smith's shot does look very fluid though and in the limited video shown he looks like he is close to Durant's level but I'm sure there were tons of misses edited out to make it look better. Still, very cool that Smith is getting to work out with one of the most polished offensive players in basketball history. Hopefully that will rub off on him. No pun intended.
I like Jabari but really feel like having that 3 and D base is what is best for the team. He needs to simplify his offensive game next season and build up from there. I think the defensive end is pretty good and ahead of schedule.
Even though his development got delayed by silas and kpj, under ime u can see the improvement. I am very optimistic that he will take it to the next level for the upcoming season.
If Jabari plays the Small Forward position, he could be on the same talent level as Michael Porter Jr and Lauri Markkanen. Jabari is a better defender than both of them, but Jabari NEEDS to shoot 40% from the 3 point line this year.
Man brought up michael porter jr (hit 40% from the 3 once in 4 season) and Lauri markkanen (hit 40% from the 3 once in 7 season) and expects Smith to hit 40% from the 3 or needs to.
